A lot of you have told me the same thing: downloading mods, unpacking them, dropping files into the right folder and hoping it works is a pain. Good news, that's about to be a thing of the past.
There's a new mod manager out called AVA Mod Manager. It automatically installs mods straight from Modsfire, which is where I upload all my mods, and I'm one of the authors whose mods have auto-install support built in. So getting my mods running is now basically one click.
The current version handles archive installs. The next one is a full release with a ton more features, including installing mods in unpacked form as well. No more manual installs, no more folder-fiddling.
