How are you all doing? I hope everything's great!
I'm incredibly happy to finally share all the information about the next chapter with you, so take a seat, because some good stuff is coming!
Release Dates
As usual, the new update will be released in stages: first for the Legend tier, followed by Lover, Follower, and finally the public release.
Legend Tier: July 31 - Friday (BETA Version)
Lover Tier: August 1 - Saturday (Early Access)
Follower Tier: August 2 - Sunday (Final Build)
Public Release: August 8 - Saturday (Final Build)
For the past few weeks, I've been joking that you should expect the release on the very last day of the roadmap deadline... and in the end, that actually became true, haha!
But honestly, this turned out to be an excellent thing.
I won't lie: having this extra time to work on the chapter, polish it even further, and make everything exactly the way I want has been wonderful, if not absolutely crucial.
Anyway, I won't spend too much time talking about that here, since that's more of a topic for a proper dev update.
What's New in This Update
I previously said this would be a small and straightforward update, but in the end, it didn't turn out to be quite as small as I expected, hehe. That said, it's still not as large as Chapter 05.
The main focus of the update is continuing the story with Chapter 06.
Most of the major technical improvements were already introduced earlier in update 5.1. However, one new addition you'll immediately notice is the upgrade to the character sprites, which I first mentioned a long time ago.
For now, these upgraded sprites will only appear in Chapter 06, but over time, I'll gradually implement them throughout the previous chapters as well.
Another thing that deserves some attention is the artwork in this update.
Wow.
I won't lie, I really pushed myself with this one. A lot.
The scenes are quite complex, and the artwork has been heavily edited, refined, and polished. Honestly, part of me still wishes I could make everything even better and include even more variations, but unfortunately, I can't invest that much time into a single scene.
And of course, alongside the new chapter, we'll also have new achievements, gallery updates, replay content, and more.
About Chapter 06 - No Spoilers
The new chapter continues exactly where the previous one ended.
It brings the anime convention arc to a conclusion, and shortly afterward, the story begins heading in a... very interesting direction.
Things get hot. Very hot. I can also say that they get pretty wet.
New desires begin to surface, and luckily for the couple, temptation is never far away. How will they deal with it?
I don't know... you'll have to play it and find out!
After the Release
During and after the beta release, I'll continue working on improvements throughout the game, especially in Chapter 06.
For example, I honestly didn't feel that animations were necessary for this chapter, but that could always change depending on the community's feedback.
Final Words
I'm reaaally excited about the release, and I'm sure the vast majority of you are going to love it!
And besides loving it, many of you will probably also be shocked... and left wondering what could possibly happen next.
But that's part of the goal, so everything is going exactly as planned.
