NyxVN - Progress Update - Episode 16
infoAbout This Title
Hey everyone,
Everything surrounding the Steam release is as good as complete, except for the small bug fixes here and there, but it will no longer take much focus/time. So now the full focus is back on working on Episode 16.We're a little behind where we wanted to be at this point due to several reasons. First, the Steam release took longer than expected. But as I said, that is finally over now. Then, creating the images/renders takes longer than anticipated. When we were watching Valeria, it all seemed "easy", but it isn't as simple now that we're doing it. Especially since this episode has a lot of images without a script. So all the expressions need to be on point to convey the feelings of the characters. It's a lot of trial and error. And thirdly, as communicated last time. There's a scene Valeria wasn't too happy with due to an asset. We've found a new asset we can use instead, but that means we need to recreate all those images from that scene. The camera settings and the character posing are done, so we basically only need to put the new background scene in those files and render them again. It's around 100 images, so it will take a little bit, but not as much as creating the scene from scratch. We're working on the last scene of Wednesday now, and we hope we can finish that before we head on vacation in August for two weeks. Thursday will be one big scene. There might be some small script changes here and there depending on routes/relationships, but the different paths don't change the scene as a whole. It's the same for every path. Which is nice and saves a lot of time.
