One Inch - End of July Update

Halfway through summer already. I feel like I lost a month with everything that has happened, both on this project and in my personal life. However, I'm feeling better and moving around and I'm motivated.I'm changing direction for a little bit. I want more content done before the end of the year and I would also like to release update 3.x sometime in the next couple months. That does mean a smaller update than 2.x, but I can live with that.So, going forward I want to start working on the romance routes in meaningful ways. This means revisiting a lot of older stuff and bringing it up to date as well as adding new potential routes and actually implementing consequences for affection.I've already begun experimenting with some of Anna's early content so she may very well be the first to get worked on.During my downtime this past month I played through the core game and I gotta say, a lot of stuff is shockingly broken, unfinished, or kinda inconsistent. This is in large part due to me ignoring the affection system for so long. It's time to fix that.For you gooners, that means more content. Lots of more lewd content.The story content as it stands is at a good spot where, even though it's not where I would have hoped it would be at this point, the romance options can start to be plugged away at.I'm considering opening up some of my workflow to a vote, meaning. Asking you all who you would like see get actually character development and romance options first, but maybe not right away unless people are really stoked about that. I'd like to try and tackle two characters at a time and I need to see how quickly I can actually get through stuff without getting bogged down with debugging core mechanics or tripping myself up by constantly rewriting mechanics and trying to implement new ones. It's my Achille's heel.So, there you have it! Sorry for those who were excited to see where the Oak Tree content leads, but it will have to wait. As always, thanks for your support.
