The Glitch Smith - Stylish Action HUD v2.6.0: Expanded Action Menu Editor
infoAbout This Title
v2.6.0 expands the Action Menu editor with collapsible category cards, a live preview, per-category styling and sounds, layout presets, and editable presentation for external adapter categories. It also adds linked resource bars, threshold markers, quick status controls, scoped settings resets, and PF2e action improvements.
Action Menu Editor Workflow
Long menu configurations can now be edited with less scrolling and checked before saving.
Collapse or expand each category card independently.
The Live Action Menu Preview starts collapsed and reflects the selected theme, artwork, order, typography, visibility, and first-button emphasis.
Category Appearance and Audio
Each Action Menu category can set its own font, text color, click sound, and hover sound.
Leaving the font or text color unset keeps the selected theme's value.
Leaving either sound unset keeps the existing global or theme sound.
Action Menu Layout Presets
GMs can save, load, and delete presets for the current game system.
Presets store Action Menu category structure, adapter overrides, and menu visuals.
The global HUD theme, personal scale, and screen position are unchanged when a menu preset is loaded.
External Adapter Category Editing
Categories supplied by external adapters can now be customized in the same Menu editor.
Rename categories; change icons, button artwork and positioning, and frame layers; or configure combat and Actor visibility.
Adapter-owned IDs, actions, submenu contents, and category order stay under adapter control.
Custom categories can be placed between adapter categories. Placements use category IDs, so optional adapter buttons do not shift them.
Favorite Management and Views
Favorite quick slots can now be managed directly from the Action Menu.
Drag favorites to reorder them or right-click one to remove it.
Sort favorites first or show only favorites without merging the existing list sections.
First Button Emphasis
Iron and Glass themes can now use the same size and style for every category button.
Turn off Emphasize First Action Menu Button to remove the larger first-button treatment. The existing emphasized layout remains enabled by default.
Submenu Direction
A per-client setting controls which side Action Menu submenus open on.
Choose Automatic, Left, or Right. Automatic keeps the existing left-first behavior and moves a submenu to the right when there is not enough room on the left.
PF2e Actions and Feats Merge
PF2e worlds can combine action items and active feats in the Actions menu.
The option is disabled by default. When enabled, the separate Feats button is hidden.
Feats remains available when the Actions category is hidden through its visibility setting.
Linked Segmented Resource Bars
Two segmented modes combine a primary tracked value with a second decreasing resource.
Remaining Layers supports resources such as HP with Structure. Accumulating Danger supports resources such as Heat with Stress.
Clicking the bar opens both current values in one editor, while modifier clicks can adjust either resource directly.
Resource Threshold Markers
Configured resource stages can now appear as markers directly on a bar.
Linked bars place the markers on the active segment, keeping Bloodied, Danger Zone, and similar breakpoints visible without repeating them across every segment.
Quick Status Effect Manager
Party HUD cards now include a searchable status picker for GMs and Actor owners.
Left-click the + button to add or increase an effect. Right-click to reduce or remove it.
Active effect values are shown directly in the picker.
Party HUD Camera Panning
A new global setting can stop Party HUD card clicks from moving the camera.
The card still selects its Token. Camera panning remains enabled by default for existing worlds.
Scoped Settings Reset
The Reset button now asks which part of the current configuration to restore.
Reset an individual Global or Actor section, with the current tab selected by default, or choose the option that restores all available settings.
Cleaner Tracked Attribute Options
Tracked Attribute cards now keep color, label, display type, position, and deletion in the primary row.
Visibility, display, threshold, linked-bar, and hit-feedback controls are grouped in a collapsed Attribute Options panel.
Enabled options remain visible as colored icons in the panel summary.
Bug Fixes
Default Action Menu in Settings: The Menu tab now loads the current system's default Action Menu when no customized menu has been saved. Default categories can be renamed or extended without using Reset, while saved custom menus remain unchanged.
Zenith Action Menu Staggering: The sixth and later buttons now continue Zenith's stepped layout instead of returning to the first button's alignment.
PF2e Action Menu Item Name Colors: Strike and Elemental Blast item names now inherit the current theme's text color instead of forcing white.
PF2e Strike Damage Types: Regular and alternate strike usages now list the system's available damage types, including versatile weapons and Triggerbrand, and update the native PF2e weapon toggle.
PF2e Elemental Blast Controls: Every available damage type now appears with separate melee and ranged attack rows. Rolls use the selected type and range, and Ctrl+click rolls critical damage correctly.
PF2e Weapon Infusion Options: Melee and ranged Weapon Infusion choices now appear in the HUD's Roll Options list and pass their selected traits to PF2e correctly.
Requires GlitchSmith Library v0.7.1 or newer. Foundry VTT v13 and v14 are supported.
