Luna dropped her backpack onto the couch with a frustrated growl. Her long, silky ears flattened against her head and her tail swished irritably behind her.
“I’m sick of it. I’m seriously sick of it.”
Lina looked up from her laptop, glasses perched on her short muzzle, fingers pausing over her biology notes.
“What happened this time, sis?”
“The same thing as always,” Luna growled. “That girl in the chemistry lab wouldn’t let me participate in any of the activities. She said I could barely reach the table and that I’d get fur everywhere. She even called me a ‘lapdog.’”
Lana poked her head out from the kitchen.
“Yesterday, someone asked me if I was lost or looking for my mother.”
“Girls, we’ve only been at the university for three weeks,” Lina said, trying to look on the bright side. “People still don’t know us. It’s normal for them to… get confused.”
“You’re making excuses for people treating us like little girls,” Luna protested. As usual, she was the most energetic of the three. “We already put up with bullying all through school. University was supposed to be different.”
Ever since they were children, the triplets had struggled to assert themselves, especially since they were barely four foot seven. Their dog-girl mutations, which resembled Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, made them adorably small. They had soft, drooping ears, short, delicate muzzles, large, shining eyes, and silky, fluffy tails. And though each of them had six breasts, they barely filled an A cup.
The three sisters were otherwise identical. The only visible difference between them was the color dyed into the tips of their ears—Luna’s were blue, Lina’s red, and Lana’s green.
Luna jumped onto the couch, still grumbling.
“We can’t keep living like this. I don’t want to spend my entire university life as the class mascot. What’s going to happen when we start getting jobs?”
“It’s a social problem,” Lina replied evenly. “It isn’t something we can magically fix. Our first impression might be a little… small, but once people get to know us, their attitude usually changes.”
“Yeah, great. That isn’t going to help us during job interviews. We need to change something, or no one is ever going to respect us.”
“Benjamin respects us,” Lana said, making both Luna and Lina blush.
“Well, sure, he treats us nicely, but I bet he still sees us as his little sisters,” Luna said.
“I wouldn’t mind. He could see us as his pets,” Lana replied.
“Lana, please. Have a little dignity,” Lina scolded her.
“I have dignity. I’d just like him to rub my belly.”
“Anyway, let’s focus on our actual problem,” Luna said, steering the conversation back on track. “How do we make the world stop seeing us as tiny lapdogs?”
Lana raised an eyebrow.
“Well… technically, our problem comes from our mutation. Maybe we could fix it by mutating again.”
“Don’t even think about suggesting mutagen,” Lina exclaimed, briefly abandoning her usual calm.
“I was only mentioning it as an idea…” Lana said apologetically.
“It’s illegal, unstable, and temporary,” Lina continued. “We could end up fifty centimeters tall, covered in tentacles, or with extra legs.”
Lana raised one finger.
“The extra legs might be—”
“No!” Lina shouted.
“Okay. Sorry for suggesting it,” Lana said. As the youngest, she was usually far more relaxed than her sisters.
“Well, then I suppose we don’t have a solution to our problem right now,” Luna sighed in resignation.
“Things will get better eventually. Go help Lana with dinner,” Lina said. The girls tried to relax over the meal and forget their troubles.
Three days later, the apartment door flew open.
“I FOUND IT!” Luna shouted, bursting in with a small velvet pouch. “The solution to our problem!”
“If that’s mutagen, I’m warning you right now that I’ll flush it down the toilet,” Lina said, deadly serious.
“It isn’t!” Luna said, visibly excited. “Today, on my way to the market, I passed through the old shopping district. You know, the one with all those strange little stores.”
“I’m already a little afraid of where this is going,” Lina muttered.
“Well, I passed this weird stall run by a very mysterious mutant woman. She walked right up to me and said, ‘I know you have a problem, and I have the solution.’”
Lana tilted her head.
“This reminds me of a fairy tale. Did you buy magic beans?”
Lana and Lina burst out laughing. Luna puffed out her cheeks.
“Don’t make fun of me! That woman knew I had two sisters without me telling her.”
“Con artists are clever like that,” Lina said. “She probably saw us together before, or you mentioned us without realizing it.”
“Of course I didn’t. I’m not stupid,” Luna said angrily.
“And I suppose you spent our dinner money on whatever she sold you,” Lina added dryly.
Luna fell silent for a moment.
“Well… yes. I spent all of it.”
“Then I hope they really are beans, or at least something else we can eat,” Lana said.
“They weren’t beans. I bought these.”
Luna upended the pouch over the table, and three collars tumbled out. They were made of black leather, each with a red gemstone set into the front. They looked well-made, and the gems shimmered faintly under the apartment lights.
Lana examined them.
“Okay… they’re pretty. They look like chokers.”
“A bit stereotypical for dog girls, though,” Lina remarked, inspecting one.
“The woman said they would work if we wore them together,” Luna explained.
“Work how?” Lina asked. “I doubt she knew what our problem was unless you told her. And how exactly would these solve it? Will they make us taller? Change the way people perceive us?”
“Ugh, why do you have to be so… specific?” Luna exclaimed in annoyance. “It’s magic, I guess. It has to help somehow.”
“Look, it’s really pretty,” Lana said, fastening one around her neck and turning to show her sisters.
“Well, at least Lana’s happy,” Lina sighed.
Luna took one without hesitation and fastened it around her own neck.
“Come on. Stop complaining and put it on.”
Lina huffed but eventually put on the final collar.
“It looks good on you,” Lana said. “It’s like a sisterhood necklace.”
“Yes, I admit we at least look cute wearing—” Lina broke off. The gemstones in the collars had begun to glow.
“Look! I think the magic is starting,” Luna said. Even she wasn’t sure whether her excitement came from witnessing real magic or simply from discovering she hadn’t been scammed.
“Or it could be radiation,” Lana said.
A warm sensation spread through their bodies.
“Girls, I’m starting to feel strange. I—” Lina managed before her body stretched and warped, yanking her toward the center of the room. Her sisters immediately followed, all three of them leaving their clothes behind.
“Girls, I think I’m floating!” Lana exclaimed in wonder.
“I can see that!” Lina shouted fearfully.
Their bodies were dragged toward the center of the room as though an invisible force were pulling them together. They began intertwining inside a whirlwind of flesh and fur.
“Luna! What the hell did you buy?” Lina screamed.
“I have no idea!” Luna sobbed as she spun alongside her sisters.
“I think I’m getting dizzy,” Lana said.
The whirlwind accelerated. The three sisters felt their bodies melting together and reforming before gradually becoming solid once again.
When they finally stopped spinning, a single gigantic figure stood in the middle of the room.
She was nearly two meters tall. Six toned arms rested at the sides of a powerful, curvaceous torso. Six breasts, each at least an E cup, rose and fell with each shared breath. Her long, toned legs ended in elegant paws covered in brown and white fur. Three silky tails extended from the base of her spine, swishing around and bumping into one another. Between her legs, three vaginas crowded together, vying for space. Above the figure’s shoulders were the three sisters’ heads, all trying to process what had happened.
“…Oh,” Lana said, the first to speak.
“WOW! We’re massive!” Luna exclaimed, staring at their shared body in the living room’s full-length mirror.
“Holy crap, we’re a giant conjoined woman,” Lina said with a strange mixture of excitement and terror. “This makes absolutely no biological sense. Those collars really are magical.”
“Ha! I told you they were real,” Luna declared proudly.
“Don’t look so happy! Now we’re freaks. I mean, even more than we already were,” Lina said.
“We turned into a sexy Cerberus,” Lana said with her usual carefree attitude.
“That’s right!” Luna exclaimed, using one pair of arms to punch a fist into an opposite palm. “The vendor called them Cerberus collars. I probably should have mentioned that.”
“Yes, maybe you should have!” Lina shouted. “I would kill you if we weren’t conjoined right now.”
“Come on. Let’s try moving,” Luna said.
They tried moving and, to their surprise, the body responded naturally. Each triplet controlled one pair of arms, coordinating without a hitch. The legs were slightly trickier, but as long as they agreed on a direction, walking was easy enough.
“Well, at least we can move,” Lina said with some resignation.
“Yes, and that isn’t all. Look at us,” Luna said, pointing toward the mirror. “Now we look completely respectable. Actually, we look intimidating.”
“I admit that we’re fascinating,” Lina said.
Lana swayed their hips while the three tails wagged happily.
“And we have incredible legs. Do you think Ben will still see us as little sisters now?”
All three of them fell silent for a moment before a flustered Lina finally responded.
“I-I think we have other things to figure out before we start thinking about Ben. Like discovering how these collars work.”
Lina grabbed the collar around her neck and removed it to inspect it. The instant she did, its gemstone lost its glow and went dull. Her body slid out of the shared torso as though it were a piece of clay being pulled away. Lina reappeared alone on one side of the room, naked and small once again.
When she looked at her sisters, she saw that they had changed too. Luna and Lana now shared a smaller body, though it was still tall and voluptuous—two heads, four arms, six C-cup breasts, standing around five foot seven.
Lana burst out laughing.
“Now we’re the mini Cerberus version! Oh, wait. Cerberus has three heads. I don’t know what we are now.”
Luna looked over their new curves.
“This still isn’t bad at all. We’re average height now, although being an Amazon was more fun.”
“The important thing is that it appears to be reversible,” Lina said as she put the collar back on. The red gemstone immediately lit up again, and Lina’s body was pulled toward her sisters, reconstructing their gigantic three-headed form.
“This body is amazing. Why would we ever want to become tiny again?” Luna asked.
“So we can continue living our lives and have a little privacy,” Lina argued.
“And because we don’t have any clothes that fit this body,” Lana added.
The other two looked down at their tiny clothes scattered across the floor.
“Oh, come on. There has to be something among our things that we can wear,” Luna said.
“Our closet is almost entirely from Justice and Abercrombie. We don’t even own socks that would fit us,” Lina pointed out.
At that exact moment, the doorbell rang, making all three of them jump. They hurried toward the door, and Luna looked through the peephole.
“…It’s Ben.”
Lina felt all three of their tails bristle at once.
“Ben? What is he doing here?”
“Oh, right. I asked him to bring us some study guides for next week’s exam,” Lana said. “I forgot.”
“What do we do? We can’t open the door like this!” Lina said, her voice rising in panic. “We’re naked!”
Luna took a deep breath.
“Okay. First of all, don’t panic. Ben is a good guy. I’m sure he’ll understand.”
“Oh, yes, of course. The tiny dog-girl triplets can magically fuse into a gigantic Cerberus woman. That’s extremely easy to understand!” Lina half-shrieked.
“I thought you were supposed to be the calm one,” Luna protested.
“Girls? Hello? Is everything all right?” Ben called from outside, having heard the argument.
A hand slapped Luna’s cheek, and another slapped Lina’s.
“Calm down! You’re both losing control,” Lana scolded them.
The fact that their youngest sister was reprimanding them helped Luna and Lina regain some of their composure.
“We can separate by removing the collars, so that isn’t a problem,” Lana continued. “But I know that all three of us want Ben to see us in this body.”
Lina merely nodded, admitting that Lana was right.
“But we should at least cover ourselves a little,” Luna said.
She grabbed the bedsheet they usually spread over the couch to keep their fur from dirtying it. They wrapped it around their shared body as best they could, though it barely contained their new curves.
“Okay. This is the moment of truth,” Luna said as she grabbed the doorknob and opened the door.
Luna dropped her backpack onto the couch with a frustrated growl. Her long, silky ears flattened against her head and her tail swished irritably behind her.
