OrlandoEdits - OE ProTune 3.0.8 Update

infoAbout This Title

What's new in 3.0.8

Traction control. It works the way a real traction control box works, by pulling ignition retard, rather than getting its own separate torque channel bolted on. There's a gain setting (degrees of retard per percent of slip over target) and a hard ceiling on how much authority it gets.

On-board timing slip. Basically a Dragy or a VBOX built into the car. You get 60ft, ET and trap speed, plus a 20 Hz trace of the whole pass so you can go back and see what boost, timing and wheelspeed were actually doing at 0.3 seconds instead of just staring at a number. Best slip saves per car.

Practice tree. Sportsman (.500) and Pro (.400). The sequence is randomised so you can't learn and anticipate it, which is the entire point of practicing on one. It refuses to arm unless you're actually staged. There's a new keybind for arming it.

Driven wheel slip fix. BeamNG's wheelspeed averages all four wheels, so on anything 2WD the slip reading was coming out at roughly half what it really was. Now it only looks at the wheels that are actually driven.

Interior audio. All the OE exhaust sounds (pops, bangs, the 2-step bark) now have a proper in-car layer, so they don't go muffled or vanish once you're in the cockpit. There's a slider for how loud they are from the driver seat.

Transmission sliders on every engine. They used to be gated. Shift torque management also reports its retard in actual degrees now instead of just a yes/no flag, which makes it possible to see what it's doing.

Five new flame plates with reworked datablocks behind them.
