Kemzima - August Mod Updates – 5 Mods Have Been Updated
infoAbout This Title
Hellooooo
I’ve just pushed an important hotfix for several of my mods, so please make sure you download the latest versions, even if you updated them recently.
The hotfix affects:
Pregnancy Massage Table - updated to version 2.4 Functional Osimpic - updated to version 3.0 My Dietary Life - updated to version 2.5 Responsible Pregnancy - updated to version 5.9 Nicotine Replacement Therapy - updated to version 1.2
Why the Hotfix?
In my previous compatibility update, I added support for Medio’s Gradual Pregnancy Bump Mod.
Unfortunately, part of that compatibility was causing issues for players who didn’t have this mod installed. Apologies this has now been fixed!
You do not need Medio’s mod to use any of these mods, the compatibility is completely optional.
If you use any of the affected mods, please redownload the latest versions and replace the old files in your Mods folder.
Functional Osimpic
Osimpic appointments can now be accessed through the Phone again after someone reported that they weren’t appearing correctly within the Healthcare Redux menu.
(This is a temporary change until i implement a core framework mod, explained below)
Responsible Pregnancy
I’ve also made a few changes to the Dehydration feature in Module 5.
Fixed an issue where drinking water wasn’t properly resolving thirst/dehydration
Made some additional tweaks to how the dehydration feature behaves
Nicotine Replacement Therapy
This one isn’t part of the compatibility hotfix, but I’ve updated it at the same time!
I’ve added some new nicotine craving idle animations, so Sims experiencing cravings now have a little more visual behaviour to go alongside them.
A Core Framework Mod Is Coming*
Sooooo I have unexpectedly made a lot more mods than I originally anticipated.
As my collection of mods continues to grow, maintaining completely separate systems for every single mod is starting to become so long and clunky!
Because of this, I’m going to begin working on a Core Framework that my mods can share. (Other modders do have this but everyone calls it something different e.g. Lumpinou's Toolbox, Adeepindigo's Shared Utilities, etc)
The premise is ultimately the same which is to provide shared systems and resources that can be used across multiple mods. For mine, this will help with things like:
One combined Settings menu for my mods rather than separate Settings menus everywhere One shared CFG setting file instead of creating a separate configuration file for each mod Reduce the overall size of my mods by allowing them to share common resources Avoid duplicating things I already reuse across multiple mods, such as certain tests, tuning resources and buff icons
This should make things much cleaner both for me when maintaining the mods and for you when using them.
I’ll share more information about the framework once I’ve started putting everything together. For now, nothing changes with how you install the current mods.
Thank you to everyone who reported the issues!
