freebo23 - FOOD TRUCK FEST: Chapter 4 (THE END!)

Hello Dadfuckers!
I was thinking of publishing the 4th (or 5th? I’ve honestly lost track lol) and FINAL episode of this adventure at the end of the month, together with a nice cover and some extras… but you know what? I couldn’t resist!
I’d been looking forward to drawing this episode for a long time, mostly because I’ve wanted to make a comic about Kostas Papadakis forever. I actually created this character ages ago, back in my Tumblr days, and somehow I never forgot about him!
When I started FOOD TRUCK FEST, I thought a comic with Joe Rizzo and Pat O’Malley would be the perfect excuse to finally introduce Kostas… although the poor guy had to wait quite a while before getting his moment in the spotlight.
As I mentioned before, originally this comic was supposed to focus ONLY on these three families. All the other dads and sons were basically meant to be background characters, and so was the Mayor.
But then you guys got way too enthusiastic about all those sexy dads… and obviously my brain started thinking about them too. So I ended up giving a little bit of action to almost everyone!
The story just kept growing and getting more complicated while I was drawing it. At this point, I just hope I didn’t leave any plot holes behind, because there was A LOT going on at this damn FOOD TRUCK FESTIVAL!
I’ve also wanted to make a series of short comics about Leigh Maxwell and his adventures as a photo reporter in Freebopolis for a long time, so I decided to sneak the beginning of his possible story arc into this chapter. Hopefully I’ll get the chance to properly develop it one day!
And, of course, I couldn’t resist putting the Mayor in his place a little bit. He’s handsome, cocky, ridiculously full of himself… the man clearly needs some discipline every now and then, don’t you think?
I was sorry to split his little encounter into two parts, but I really had no choice if I wanted to finish everything before leaving.
From August 26th to September 5th, I’ll be traveling around Sicily with a couple of friends. I really need some time to relax… and who knows, maybe I’ll encounter some plump Sicilian dadbutt at the nudist beach.
Before I leave, though, I still have a few days to work on the cover and final PDF of the complete FOOD TRUCK FEST saga, which I’ll drop in the next few days!
And then comes the Fall / Spooky Season…
I’m already thinking about another long comic like this one, this time featuring Victor, Marlon, Blake and the whole Halloween crew.
OR… I could finally make a long comic to conclude Danny’s ALL MY FRIENDS’ DADS, since the next dad on his list is Blake, Victor’s dad.
Or maybe…
I could somehow combine BOTH stories.
What do you guys think? Let me know what you’d most like to see next!
