Wow, that was a lot of questions! We've taken a look at them all and decided on which we'd like to answer, and we'll be spreading it out over the course of a few posts. So, let's start out with the more personal questions about things like our tastes and hobbies!
Question 1:
Salt:It’s a bit of a hard question to answer, but I think these are probably my top 5 (not counting OCs). Some probably come and go with other characters, but I can say for sure Marin and Itsuki are solidly the top 2.

Salt:I’ve sketched her before but never done a piece: Asuka from Tekken
Pepper:Probably the one that jumps to mind most I’d like us to do a piece of one day is the Dark Magician Girl. Her and Nejire Hado.
Areku:I keep coming up with random WG ideas for Tenryuu from Kancolle, but she ends up taking a back seat to more currently relevant characters. Will see if I can make it happen some day!

Salt:My favorite pieces are definitely due to sentimental value. I have two that I couldn’t pick between:
The original Denial Can Weigh on You, because it was the start of my OC content
A Cozy Christmas, because it was when I started feeling like Pepper, Areku and I were becoming proper close friends, which eventually led to where we are now! Things might have been very different without that piece.
Favorite OC has to be Chloe. She was the first, and I think she’s one of the ones I have the most fun writing for.
Pepper:I mean, my favorite pieces has to be the original Lucy Heartfilia piece and it’s remake, 5 Year Quest, and A Cozy Christmas.
That original Lucy was kinda where all of this started for me and the remake made both Salt and I pretty emotional. A Cozy Christmas was the piece where the three of us first collaborated on anything and we all became really close friends because of it. Without these silly pieces of art I wouldn’t be here working with my best buds, so it has to be them!
When it comes to my favorite of the girls, It’s gotta be Maddy (we have plans for her and I’m excited for them) with Sammy in close second.
Areku:I’d say my favorite piece has to be A Cozy Christmas, because it marks the start of my friendship and professional relationship with Salt & Pepper! And from a more personal standpoint, Wel-rounded MkII, because it kickstarted what is currently my biggest obsession lol
When it comes to BWS OCs, definitely Olivia at the moment. I just love the peppy go-getter personality she’s grown into!

Salt:I’ve been into it since I was a little kid! I always copied from my favorite cartoonists and video game art. I didn’t get into doing anime style until I was in college! I studied medical illustration in college, so I have formal art education, but I think my biggest jumps in skill have come from self-teaching.

Salt:I do a bunch of drawing for fun! I do have some worries about having this art tied to my non-kink work, but there isn’t much to be done about that if it happens.
Pepper:

Comic Artists: Jeff Smith, Stephan Pastis, Mike Mignola
Mangaka: Kohei Horikoshi, Tatsuya Endo, Junji Ito
In terms of what made me want to be an artist, I don’t know! I’ve drawn my whole life, I think I’ve always liked drawing!

Salt:Orange, but I enjoy blue almost just as much. Those two together makes the best color combo.
Areku:…Blue? Probably?Honestly, hazard orange is also pretty cool.
Pepper:I plead the 5th. All colours are cool. Except warm colours.

Areku:I’d love to do more longform SeiNiku content! My ideas tend to be a bit long-winded and rambly, though, so it’s hard to fit them into the schedule. We’ll see if it ends up happening!

Salt:Nope, I’m single. And the women I’ve dated have been thin (Not because I don’t want to date a big girl, it’s just how things happened.)
Pepper:Nah. It’d be nice to someday, but there’s enough going on in life that I don’t feel the need to look for a relationship at the moment.
Areku:Nope! Holding out for when Boston Dynamics finally makes an IRL Welrod.

Salt:I don’t know that I ever really struggled with it. From my recollection I think I just went “oh that’s what I like” and that was that.
Pepper:Personally, I’ve never really seen liking fat girls as a deviant interest. I personally just like seeing girls enjoy food and having fun with gaining.
Areku:Struggled with it quite a bit, way back in the day. Getting exposed to the internet and all of people’s varied interests really helped me out on that front, and I eventually figured out that there’s not one specific “correct” set of preferences.
Nowadays I take a pretty relaxed “live and let live” stance on it, especially when it comes to fiction.

Salt:It changes all the time for me. I definitely have a preference for a big belly though.
Pepper:I generally prefer rounder shaped girls who are big all over, with a bit more emphasis on their bellies, boobs and faces.
Areku:Varies a lot depending on the character, but a common factor would be having a lot of hip/thigh width.

Salt:That’s really tough, but probably breakfast? Favorite food for breakfast would have to be sausage.
Pepper:Probably dinner. I enjoy making my own pasta sauces and having that with garlic bread.
Areku:Unsure if I have a specific meal? Am a big fan of cup udon, though - try Nongshim-branded ones if you have the chance.

Salt:I like making breakfast sandwiches, or egg casserole in bulk. So I’d say that’s the closest I have to a go-to.
Pepper:Normally just a glass of fruit juice.
Areku:French bread and a cup of tea or limeade, on most days.

Salt:Lego, going for walks
Pepper:I enjoy driving threw the countryside and seeing historical sights. Lego and video games too but that answer doesn’t sound as cool.
Areku:I’ve dabbled in a bunch of random hobbies over the years - fishkeeping, electronics and cycling being the current ones.

Salt:Favorite games are Portal 2, Stanley Parable, Hollow Knight, Silksong, Shadow of the Colossus, Outer Wilds… man, I could go on lol. Recently though, I’ve been enjoying Pragmata, Tekken 8, and Hades!
Pepper:I’m generally a Nintendo person when it comes to games. I like me some Zeldas, the Marios and have recently been playing Pokopia. Though I’m also nearing the end of Silksong right now and I’m super excited for the Shadow of the Colossus devs new game, Gen Atlas!
Areku:I enjoy a big variety of games, especially more open-ended ones that let you figure out your own solutions. Lately I’ve been playing a lot of Peak, Wildfrost and EDF 6, and my all-time favorite is probably Outer Wilds.
I’ve also played Dota 2 regularly for… 12 years now? Would not recommend.

Salt:Mob Psycho 100 has gotta be my favorite. Definitely recommend it to anyone who hasn’t seen it. As for current stuff, Delicious in Dungeon is a favorite and I really loved Dr. Stone.
Pepper:When it comes to recent stuff, Frieren’s a lot of fun. I was put off by it at first as it looked pretty generic DnD style adventure anime, I can say for sure the story is something pretty unique and special.
If I were to recommend a throwback, Mob Psycho 100 is about as good as anime gets in my opinion, but Salt copied that answer from me, so I’ll say to those who haven’t, give Fairy Tail a try. Fun characters, well throughout world and story, and the best OST you’ll find in anime!
Areku:I concur with Salt&Pepper’s suggestions, as well as Frieren, for recent stuff.
I’ll always stan for Kemono Friends and Girls’ Last Tour, and if you want a good deep cut, try out Hisone to Masotan or the 2013 remake of Yozakura Quartet.

Salt:Really context dependant! Manga art can be so beautiful and there’s something to be said for engaging with the source material for a story. But the animation, music, and direction of a well-produced anime can be really impactful.
Pepper:Anime. Manga is awesome, but I just find anime more impactful in general. Also, reading is hard.
Areku:Varies a lot depending on the story and production quality. Anime is great for watching with friends, but I feel a well-written manga tends to hold my interest longer.

Salt:I read it as it came out and I really liked it! I felt like it had some ups and downs but overall it was a really fun ride. And I think Fuuko is probably my favorite main protag in a long time, her development is ridiculously satisfying.
Pepper:I’m anime only personally, and what I’ve seen is awesome! Fuuko’s a great protag, Andy’s awesome, the worlds interesting. I can’t wait to see where things go!
Areku:Genuinely great series, have had a lot of fun with it. The manga’s ending feels a bit abrupt, and the anime had some weird quirks with the pacing, but the story as a whole is still super enjoyable. I cannot re-read the Spring arc without tearing up lol

Salt:Hot Fuzz, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, and Superbad are some of my favorite comedies.
The Thing and Aliens are my favorite horror movies.
Emperor’s New Groove and Princess Mononoke are probably two of my favorite animated movies.
There are almost definitely more I could list but it’s hard to remember so many movies XD
Pepper:Hmm… I’ll give you a few I like for different reasons: . Hot Fuzz (Best written movie I’ve ever seen). The Thing (Best made movie I’ve ever seen). The Room (Best Cinema experience I’ve ever had)
Oh also, The Lord of the Rings is the best trilogy, and The Fall Guy is the most underrated movie of the decade. Watch it!
Areku:Huge fan of Airplane, Blues Brothers, Apollo 13, the first Hellboy, Titan A.E. and the Lego Movie. Brave Little Toaster was absolutely formative for me, and on the B-movie front I’ll always have a soft spot for Van Helsing, I Robot and Transformers ‘86.

Salt:I like a lot of different music, but rock would be my favorite genre. I also really like ska. Some of my favorite bands are probably Boston, Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Green Day. Favorite japanese artists are probably Ado, Bump of Chicken and Burnout Syndromes.
Pepper:If I had to point to a specific kind of music as my favorite, probably classic rock, but honestly I enjoy most genres. I don’t know if I’d say they’re my favorite band, but of all the bands I listen to, I’d say Green Day probably has the most of my favorite songs.
Areku:Pretty big variety, usually rock/folk. Big fan of Cat Stevens, KT Tunstall, Florence & The Machine, Sabaton, Bump of Chicken, DECO*27, Fin del Mundo and way too many others to list lol
