I started reading Bleach again! And I'm redrawing some panels that stuck out to me. It's been interesting studying Kubo's early artwork and seeing it develop as the story progresses. (if you're curious, I'm currently on Chap. 80'ish).
I've seen some of the Bleach anime and even a good chunk of the new one too (I've been told there are whole story elements that are not in the manga). The anime never clicked with me, and I'm referring to both old and new. Honestly, it just kinda bored me. But reading the manga is a totally different experience!
I'm having this weird nostalgia for something I didn't really read back in the day. Bleach now gives me that feeling when I was reading the BIG THREE when I was younger (like DB, Naruto, OP, etc). A feeling I truly missed when I read most manga today. (And yes, I do read things other than shonen lol!) I just really like Kubo's style and the way he set's up scenes. Some characters just "drip with aura", as the youngin's say. It's also really fun to study it and to try to improve my art as well (especially when it comes to fights).
I'm still VERY early in the story, I haven't even gotten into the meat of it yet, I feel. And of course I'm dreading when it will hits "the shonen arc long slog." For now though, I'm just enjoying the ride! Let's see if the story will keep my attention til the end!
