Good Luke - Good Luke - Progress Update part 3
infoAbout This Title
Sup, Goodies! How’s everyone doing?
Another productive week at Good Luke Studios! The next update continues taking shape, with more missions reaching their final stages, animations being completed, new visual content entering the game, and some exciting internal tools making our production pipeline even stronger.
There’s a lot happening at the same time, so let’s get into this week’s progress!
Helena's Missions
We finished Helena's latest missions!
These include Luke's first visit to Helena's special room, as well as what happens when he returns there later.
With these missions completed, another important part of Helena's upcoming content is moving closer to its final in-game version.
Nancy & Yuki
We also worked on a new intimate animation featuring Nancy and Yuki, continuing to expand the content between the two girls.
Stephanie Shot Pack
A new Stephanie Shot Pack is currently in development!
This time, we're putting her in a rocking chair and going for a very sexy and teasing atmosphere.
New Character Sprites
More character sprites have been developed, giving us additional poses that can be used across different situations throughout the game.
This gives us much more flexibility when building conversations and scenes while helping the characters feel more expressive.
Helena + Jez Shot Pack
The new Helena + Jez Shot Pack is entering its final stages!
We're currently putting the finishing touches on it before it's ready for you.
Girls' Movie Night
Another animation for Girls' Movie Night has been completed!
Yuki's new intimate scene with Luke is now finished and ready to move forward through the production pipeline.
New Girls' Animation
The new animation featuring the girls getting intimate together in the closet is now complete!
New Scenes & Stories
Since last week, we've made significant progress across several parts of the upcoming update.
New moments involving Donna, Yuki, Helena, Vivian, Stephanie, and Nancy have been worked on. Some routes received entirely new scenes, while others had existing sections revised to improve pacing, consistency, and transitions.
We've also started integrating new images and animations into scenes that previously existed only as text or temporary placeholders.
This is an important stage of development because it means more and more content is leaving the "internal draft" phase and getting closer to what you'll actually experience in the finished update.
More Images & Animations
New image packages have been integrated into several important scenes, including content featuring Donna, Stephanie, Helena, and Yuki.
Some new animations have also been prepared for integration into their respective scenes.
There is still material under review, but having this content inside the game means we can now fine-tune pacing, framing, transitions, and timing much more accurately.
Improving the Game Experience
We also worked on several smaller details that, when combined, make the game feel much more polished.
This includes interface sounds, click feedback, menus, dialogue pacing, and navigation improvements.
Another important focus has been the notification system. It is being prepared to clearly inform players whenever something important happens, such as mission progression, a new message, or receiving an item, without unnecessarily interrupting the scene.
Polish & Fixes
We fixed missing assets, repaired scenes that needed additional adjustments, and improved several transitions throughout the game.
This type of work isn't always as visible as a brand-new mission or animation, but it's extremely important for making the next update more stable and enjoyable to play.
Overall, the next update is really starting to take shape: more story, more visual scenes, more animated characters, and a cleaner overall experience.
We still have reviewing, testing, and polishing ahead of us, but several important parts are already inside the game.
Good Sound
We're reaching the final stages of development for Good Sound, our new internal audio processing tool.
Good Sound was created to prepare, equalize, and standardize Good Luke's audio before it enters the game.
Because our audio comes from several different sources, volume levels can vary considerably. This tool helps us maintain consistency so that music, sound effects, and interface sounds don't suddenly become much louder or quieter than everything else.
The original files are always preserved, while Good Sound creates processed versions ready for use in the game.
The system has already been validated using real Good Luke assets, including a batch of 73 audio files that were processed and analyzed.
It can also analyze audio before making any changes, batch-process multiple files, and directly compare the original and processed versions.
During development, we identified and fixed several issues that could have affected the final audio quality, ensuring that important characteristics such as duration, quality, and channels are properly preserved.
The goal is simple: faster, safer, and more consistent audio production with a more balanced sound experience in Good Luke.
Good Doctor
Meet another one of our new internal tools: GoodLuke Doctor!
Good Doctor automatically checks our project for potential problems before they turn into bugs players can encounter.
It scans project files looking for things such as broken references, missing files, duplicated content, and other implementation errors.
The tool can also identify unused files and help detect potential issues involving audio, images, videos, and other game assets.
Everything is presented through a simple report showing our team exactly what needs attention.
As Good Luke continues to grow, tools like this become increasingly important. Finding these problems earlier means fewer bugs during testing, faster fixes, and a healthier, more organized project overall.
New Map Lighting
We've created a new render of the game map featuring updated lighting!
We're continuing to refine how the world looks and feels as more locations and missions are added to the game.
Good Task
Our internal production management system, Good Task, has also received an update!
New features have been added to make it easier for the team to track tasks, follow development progress, and keep our increasingly large production pipeline organized.
A better organized team means a smoother path from an idea to something you can actually play.
Yuki Dream
We're working on a new dream sequence involving Luke, Yuki, and Nancy.
Let's just say Luke's imagination may be taking him somewhere particularly spicy this time...
Vivian — Wine Day
Luke and Vivian are also getting another new moment together.
What starts as a relaxing day enjoying some wine takes a much more provocative turn when Vivian catches an unexpected glimpse of Luke.
It looks like the wine won't be the only thing making things hotter...
Thank You, Goodies!
That's all for this week's Good Luke Progress Update!
The next update is becoming more complete every week. We're not only creating new missions and animations, but also spending a lot of time integrating that content, improving the game's presentation, fixing problems, and building tools that allow our team to work faster and more consistently.
We're especially excited to see more and more content moving beyond renders and drafts and becoming something that is actually playable inside the game.
There's still testing, polishing, and plenty of work ahead, but we're moving forward every single day.
Thank you so much for continuing to support Good Luke and making this development possible. Your support gives us the opportunity to keep expanding the game and improving our production every week.
See you in the next Progress Update, Goodies!
