Hey everyone. We're going to be changing a few things to ensure we're running our Patreon the right way.TL;DR
Tip Jar ($3): keeps finished art in high resolution and your name in the credits. Work-in-progress art moves up to $12.
Early Access ($7): everything you get now, plus wallpapers and the first playable builds of Space Cathy.
Connoisseur ($12): work-in-progress art and roughs, finally gated where they were always listed. Dev logs are back.
Investor ($20): the credits listing becomes a real vote on game content.
Superstar ($50) and Executive Producer ($100): unchanged.
Nothing changes today. Your pledge works exactly as it does now, and the full tier list is posted before anything goes live.
What's changing
Work-in-progress art moves up to Connoisseur ($12), where it has always been listed. If you're on Tip Jar, that's the one thing you'll notice going away. Tip Jar ($3) stays honest about being a tip jar: finished art in high resolution, your name in the credits, no fake extras. Early Access ($7) only gains: wallpapers plus the first playable builds of a smaller game I'm making called Space Cathy. Investor ($20) drops the bigger credits listing nobody uses and becomes a real vote on game content. And dev logs are coming back for Connoisseur and up.
Why the tiers weren't gated before
We never had the time to manage it. Between Beat Banger content, the contractors, and the conventions, the Patreon rewards ran on autopilot for a long time. Posts went out to “all patrons” because that was the default option, and nobody was checking that against what each tier had actually been sold for. The result: behind-the-scenes content listed as a $12 reward has been going to everyone for over a year, while some advertised perks barely existed at all.
Why we're doing it
259 of you filled out the survey and told us plainly which rewards you actually use and which you ignore. Almost everything above came straight out of your answers. A tier list you can't trust is worse than a small one, so every tier now has one clear job and only promises what we can actually deliver every month. That's also why bonus and DLC content isn't on the list yet, despite being your #1 request: I won't put it on this page until I have a pipeline to back it up.
Nothing changes today. Your pledge works exactly as it does now, and I'll post the full new tier list before anything goes live.
