Starting today, I'm going to be working in the background on all my drawing fundamentals. I'm not nearly where I want to be as an artist, and it's clear I'm weak and could be so much better. I'm almost entirely self-taught, and while I think I've made a lot of good progress on my own and studying other artists, I neglected the basics. On my own time, I'll be working on these basics to strengthen my foundation. Even if I draw exaggerated anatomy, I'll be working to learn real anatomy better in the background. A lot of doing (and learning) gesture drawings, anatomy studies, and drawing from life. I wouldn't expect anyone to notice anything in the near future in my art. Probably not even for a long while. But, eventually, I'm hoping this leads to better art for you guys. The real work begins now.
