I, Just can't fix it. I have tried, and tired, and tried. I have been applying mathematical concepts even I don't understand desperately trying to get my style back. . . But it just doesn't work.I've VERY gotten close, but it's not the same. I ended up reverting to the cleaner style seen in earlier parts of the vault. But even so: Those small differences in face shape, background, hair color, skin texture, and shading are eating me alive. I doubt the average person will notice or case, but I DO! Some may even say I care too much. I thought I was smart enough to crack it eventually, but I was wrong and frankly Iโm wasting time, and a lot of it. I could have made between 7-25 sets in the time it took me to give up on this. And even if I figure it out today: all it would take is another update to break it again.So here's what's going to happen.I have, 12 days worth of content at the time of writing this. All of which was made before this bug fix. It will come out, as per the every other day system I've established. That is going to buy me time to port what I have to another software. If I can't figure it out by the 9th day, I'll stockpile another 2 weeks worth of content and repeat the cycle until I can.If that doesn't work out for me? I'll just have to move back to novel and either make a new mix entirely from scratch or go with the one Iโm currently using.I can't stress enough just how royally Novel has completely fucked me. They could have move to v5 and left v4.5 alone, but they didn't.They could have made v5 gens unlimited for their subs like v4.5 was, but they didn't. In a worst of both worlds outcome, Novel v5 has managed to throw a spinning sledge hammer right at my work flow with not even the slightest hint on how i can fix it.I put in a support ticket just now as a final hail merry, but I highly doubt they will be able to do anything for me. Edit: They claimed it didnโt change lmaoLooking back at all the content in the vault, My mix has changed alot between it's inception, and the release of v5. But i never changed a value that didn't get reverted later. Meaning in the last 8 months or so, novel has tweaked my 4.5 mix on several occasions and this isn't even a new problem. It's just, this is the only time it has ever been so bad.I can only hope by the end of this trainwreck, I'll be able to look at something that's better than what I had before. I'm going to just go and start training my style. like. at this very moment. I was already able to crack two character generations, but i decided to go back to Novel in hopes of fixing things for some reason.This last bit is a little unrelated but it's been on my mind alot:About two months ago my mother had me do a tarot card reading. I didn't really believe in them in the moment since i'm not a mystic type of girl, but the 3 batches of cards I pulled all essentially said the same thing about the same question: "How you go about the upcoming months and the challenges you'll face will determine how successful you continue to be."Meanwhile my sister (madam_weaver) basically pulled a deck that said "you got it all figured out, keep going and you will reach your goals."Now, here we are two months later and everything I've been using is falling apart around me, while she is going strong. I'd be lying if i said I'm not a little worried about how this will impact me, but I'm also not in a position where sitting around will get me anywhere.I'm going to go continue working now. Once I have a breakthrough I'll let you all know. Oh and. . . I'll use those request board sets to test everything once it's ready.
