About This Title
Is it even worth the effort of typing out another post about how I don't have control over my creativity? I feel like I've, rather ironically, run out of creative ways to express this frustration. Although, at least this time it's something that's a little different from the other projects I haven't finished. It's a comic I guess? Visual novel? The advantage of such things is that you can share them as works in progress with ease! a page at a time! And making a page is a lot less time consuming, at least in terms of time spent drawing it, than an animation. I think it's possibly a good thing to have a project that's flexible like that rather than the animations which feel pointless to share before they're finished.
ANYWAY, there's this story and setting I've been thinking about and rolling in my head since the start of this year and I guess I'm going to try and realise it into a sharable form. There is an unfathomable gulf separating a list of ideas, no matter how great they are, and something someone else would want to absorb. Someone could be describing the story of some kind of masterpiece they've watched to you and it would at best be mildly interesting, evoking polite "woah"'s and "fancy that!"'s from you, and at worst it is more painful than shoving vinegar soaked splinters into your underwear so I will resist the urge to start info dumping about the characters and the plot and everything lest I write the whole thing out into a light novel. Instead I shall simply endeavour to post pages as they are finished.
Though the problem with that is that I haven't actually read many comics or visual novels and so I don't really have much to draw from in terms of how to actually structure one and stuff. I figure it has to be efficient in how it delivers its message... Just doing that has me thinking in circles. Still, I have some rough drafts going on that I have shared; It is NSFW, though not in the typical goon-baiting way, more in a "Wow, I sure do have sexual trauma, ahah" way. The Protagonist is a terrible mess of a person who is strongly influenced by a past version of myself so she has some... issues. The fairy is Me, the writer, directly interacting with characters in the story in what I can only assume is a Tulpa-esque and highly unhealthy mental exercise of self exploration or something. See, I said I wasn't going to info dump but I started doing it there. BAD ALICE! BAD! SHES ALSO A WITCH AND HER POWERS ARE THAT SHE CAN MOVE ENERGY AROUND FOR FREE SO SHE CAN DO ALL KINDS OF COOL CREATIVE THINGS BUT SHE'S VULNERABLE TO COLD AND SHE'S SHADOWED CONSTALY BY AN ASSISSIN WHO WI

Did I do this in a subconscious effort to avoid thinking about my birthday? hmm.
