1. Before Installing the 1.17 Version
If you previously installed the 1.16.2 integration package, please remove all old ModEngine2-related files before installing the new version.
Delete the following from your Game directory:
mod
modengine2 folder
config_eldenring.toml
launchmod_eldenring.bat
modengine2_launcher.exe
Important: The Elden Ring 1.17 version now uses ME3 instead of ModEngine2 .
After removing the old ME2 files listed above, install the new integration package into your Game directory and use the new launchmod_eldenring.bat provided with the package to launch the game.
Do not reuse the old ME2 config_eldenring.toml or launcher files from the 1.16.2 package.
2. Install the Mod
Open the downloaded archive and find the directory that contains the mod folder. Extract everything from that directory into:
ELDEN RING\Game\
Do not extract the archive's outer parent folder into Game.
Correct:
Game\mod\
Wrong:
Game\Archive Folder\mod\
After installation, run launchmod_eldenring.bat to start the game.
3. How to Play as a Boss
Go to Merchant Kalé.
Get the Crafting Kit.
Open Item Crafting.
Craft the boss you want to use.
Open Equipment and equip the corresponding boss item as a weapon.
Every boss has both a +0 and +10 version.
4. Missing Sound Effects / Some Character Animations Fail to Load (Current Animation Keeps Looping)
Important: Check That the DLL Files Are Not Blocked by Windows
If you have correctly completed all the installation steps above but still experience any of the following issues:
Character sound effects or voices are missing
Some character animations fail to load
The character keeps repeating/looping the current animation
Please check whether the following DLL files are blocked by Windows.
For each DLL file:
Right-click the DLL file.
Select Properties.
If you see an Unblock option at the bottom of the window, check it.
Click Apply, then OK.
Please check these three DLL files:
Game\Dll\ERSoundBankLoader\er_sound_bank_loader.dll Game\Dll\hotreload\weapon_animation_hotreload.dll Game\Dll\Summon\summon.dll
Windows may automatically block DLL files downloaded from the internet, which can prevent some of the mod's systems from loading correctly.
5. Save Issues
If you experience save problems:
Start Elden Ring normally through Steam without the mod.
Enter the game, then close it.
Reinstall the mod.
Start the game using launchmod_eldenring.bat.
6. Game Crashes
If the game crashes, first:
Turn OFF Ray Tracing!
Main Mod Download
Compatibility: This integration package supports Elden Ring 1.17 and 1.16.2.
Game versions earlier than 1.16.2 are not supported.

Cracked Game Crashes on Launch
This is usually because your game version is not 1.16.2.
Download the patch below and replace eldenring.exe inside your Game folder:
Google Drive Download Quota Exceeded
Create an empty folder in your Google Drive, for example ER-Playable Mods.
Open the main mod download link and add a shortcut of the mod file to that folder.
Return to your Google Drive.
Download the entire folder instead of the individual file.
