Kabuki - [Poll] Should I remove the freeroam sections?
infoAbout This Title
This is a heavy one.
For those who haven't played the first few releases, the game was fully intended to be a sandbox with some linear sections here and there, but at its core, it would be a sandbox. I'm not sure if those early releases are archived somewhere or if they're lost media at this point.
You can still see remnants of this sandbox in chapters 1 and 2, where, from a menu, you can visit different girls/locations. I left this in because many of the scenes with Maia, Diana, and Yuuhi are only accessible if a system like this exists. Those scenes wouldn't really make sense if they were placed back-to-back in a completely linear VN.
Now we arrive at the bajillion dabloon question: Should I remove all this? You might ask, why would I even consider removing it in the first place? Well, it's because the game right now feels split into 2 sections, one that's sandbox-like and one that's a linear VN.
As updates go by, these freeroam sections start making less and less sense to even keep around.
