infoAbout This Title
As soon as I realized Zero Company was going to give me incredible Clone Trooper armor options to dress my squad in, it was never going to be anything else (fortunately you can change the race of any operative you hire, since not all alien species’ heads can actually fit inside a clone bucket).
As much as I derided the prequel trilogy when it came out, Dave Filoni’s Clone Wars series managed to spin that entire saga into something not only palatable, but really intriguing. The clones have become one of my favorite parts of Star Wars, and Zero Company is playing into that fantasy nicely.
The game really scratches that X-com itch in just the right way, with some great story and character moments to boot. I’m 49 hours in so far, and on my second hard/beskar run (after a boneheaded mistake ended the first). I’m not quite sure yet if it has the replayability of X-com yet, but for at least the first run through I think this both an incredible TBT game, and Star Wars game.
