Well… after waiting ALL summer, today was finally melon day!
Our melon experiment definitely didn’t go exactly the way I planned. They were supposed to grow beautifully up the trellis…and instead they pretty much ignored me and took over the ground. But you know what? We still grew melons!
In today’s new YouTube video, I’m showing you how I’m deciding which cantaloupes and honeydews are actually ready to pick — because after what happened with our first melons, I definitely wasn’t making that mistake again!
And that's only the beginning…
Those HUGE sunflowers are finally coming down, and I’m saving the seeds with hopes of turning part of the farm into a sunflower field next year.
I also have a certain bad bunny who figured out how to jump my electric fence and help herself to the garden.
And just when I thought summer was winding down, our strawberries decided they had other plans. Wait until you see what the cooler weather has done to them!
There’s a little bit of everything in this one — harvesting, growing tips, a few surprises, some farm problem-solving…and of course, me having a little fun along the way.
