Working on a major overhaul for the Waifu2x video processing pipeline, just wanted to share some early results here:
The uncompressed image (idk why patreon compressed this into 480p)
A few notes:
Right now, this is only implemented for RIFE video frame interpolation for testing purposes.
It will eventually be expanded to other engines, including the upscalers.
No corners were cut: this is simply a brand new & more efficient pipeline.
There is no "frame images cache", a huge relief for hard disk.
Long videos will no longer need to be processed in segments (since there is no images cache, segmenting is unnecessary)
This is an early preview. Development is ongoing, and it will arrive in a future update (not the immediate next release, but soon).
This requires significant development and testing, so please be patient. Thank you!
