Enilria - TSA Could Allow Water Bottles in 2027

TSA is once again teasing us with being able to bring water bottles through airport security checkpoints according to news reported by the NYT.
This is something TSA has tossed around for nearly a dozen years. London LHR, Dublin (DUB), Rome (FCO), and Milan (MXP) are among world airports that already allow it thanks to new technology screening machines that can identify the liquid in a bottle.
TSA says that airports with their newest Computed Tomography (CT) Scanners could start allowing water bottles, but only for TSA PRE passengers. If they can really identify the liquid in a bottle one has to wonder why it would be limited to only TSA PRE passengers, but at this point we all know the whole thing is 99% theater.
Any change is not expected until after the Holidays to avoid confusion during a peak time, further slowing lines.
