celianna - Monthly update
infoAbout This Title
Zex's chapter 13 has his third CG in it! And a big reveal as well. To be honest, I probably took too long to reveal the actual supernatural element, but Zex's route is more slice of life, than it is focused on the overarching story. Not that it doesn't have one, of course! But I hope you'll enjoy what I have in store for MC and Zex.
Tailor Tales Cottina
Just imagine a cute graphic of a loom and spinning wheel in that brown square. Just a placeholder for now. Also ignore the random amount of ingredients to create Linen Yarn, it was a test to see if the UI could display more ingredients than there is room.
The main gameplay loop in Cottina is growing crops and turning this into yarn and cloth so you can create clothes. Well, I finally added my first crafting menu; the textile station! At first, I had the loom and spinning wheel as separate crafting stations, but I don't want to be that game that has a ton of makers spread across the map that you go to. So I condensed it into one. I still have different crafting stations, of course.
The creation of the menu took me a month. The art for the loom and spinning wheel... two days art is so much faster. UI takes a long time, it requires many decisions, designing and programming. Pretty sure there's tons of bugs that I haven't encountered yet.
There's still more crafting stations to be designed! You need a way to cook food, create clothes and craft furniture. Thankfully, the core mechanics are in place, so they should take less than a month to complete. I hope.
