thedarck67 - FNOP ULTIMATE — THE UPDATE IS NOW BEING TESTED
About This Title
Yes. FNOP Ultimate is officially in the testing phase.
We know this update has taken longer than we originally said it would, and we want to explain why.
The original plan was much smaller: release one character and a few new actions. But as development continued, we decided to go much further.
Instead of preparing content for just one character, we've been working on multiple characters at the same time, while also building the foundation for future characters and future updates.
The goal is that, once everything is ready, we'll be able to release a new character every week, together with new actions, interactions and additional content.
CHARACTERS NOW HAVE MOODSOne of the biggest additions is the new mood system.
Your actions and your relationship with each character now matter. You'll need to earn points and improve certain mood states to increase the chances of that character accepting specific actions.
In other words: just because you want to do something doesn't mean the character will automatically accept it.
Depending on their mood, your progress and your relationship with that character, you'll have a certain percentage chance of success.
This gives every character their own progression and makes unlocking new possibilities something you actually have to work toward by playing and interacting with them.
BASE CHARACTERS & PATREON CHARACTERSCharacters with a blue background are part of the base game.
There will also be exclusive characters and character skins for Patreon members.
However, we want to make something very clear: having Patreon does not necessarily mean every exclusive character will be automatically unlocked.
Some characters may unlock directly, while others will still need to be obtained through gameplay.
For example, some characters may be found inside chests obtained through the roulette system. To earn spins, you'll need to play the minigames and Challenge Mode.
Other characters or content may appear in the game's in-game menu shop.
And this is important: all in-game currency is earned by playing the game.
This isn't a system where you simply pay real money to buy a skin. Patreon gives access to specific exclusive characters, skins and special content, but many of those rewards will still be connected to FNOP Ultimate's progression systems.
CENSOR MODE FOR CONTENT CREATORSFNOP Ultimate also includes a Censor Mode.
We've added this especially for anyone who wants to create videos, streams or other content about the game.
The censorship isn't perfect, but it should make things considerably easier and reduce the amount of editing required when creating content.
And we think FNOP could actually be a lot of fun to watch.
The game combines erotic horror, minigames, chance-based mechanics, progression and unlockables, which can create some really interesting moments: getting something extremely valuable from a spin, unexpectedly unlocking a character, discovering new interactions, or gradually seeing everything a character has to offer.
AUTOMATIC UPDATESThis has been one of the biggest technical issues we've been dealing with throughout development.
Right now, updating the game can mean having to download almost the entire game again.
And if our goal is to release a new character every week, we definitely don't want you downloading several gigabytes of FNOP every single week.
That's why we're currently testing an automatic update system.
The idea is simple: whenever we release a new character or additional content, the game will only download the new files it actually needs.
So instead of an update being several gigabytes, it could potentially be reduced to just a few megabytes.
We're still testing this system, so for now we don't want to promise that it will be available immediately until we're confident that everything works correctly.
VR, NON-VR & OCULUS QUESTWe also want to remind everyone that all of this content is being developed for both VR and Non-VR gameplay.
So yes: what you're seeing is already part of the new VR experience, while those of you who have been asking for a way to play without a VR headset will also have the Non-VR version.
And we can officially confirm something else:
FNOP Ultimate will have a standalone version for Oculus Quest 2 and Quest 3, with no PC required.
WILL THERE BE A MOBILE VERSION?Possibly.
We aren't ruling out a mobile version in the future, but it would most likely need to be a more limited version of the game.
FNOP Ultimate has a lot of systems running together, and the game has become considerably more complex. Trying to fit absolutely everything onto a phone could result in an experience that simply isn't comfortable to play.
If we eventually make a mobile version, we'd rather properly adapt the experience instead of forcing the entire game onto a phone screen.
WE'RE ALMOST THEREThe game is being tested right now.
We're just a few days away.
Thank you so much for waiting and for being patient with us.
Give us these final days to test, fix and polish everything properly. This update took longer than originally planned because we'd rather build these systems correctly and create a solid foundation for the future of FNOP Ultimate.
We want to give you something that works properly, not release something broken just to get it out sooner.
We'll see you very, very soon in FNOP Ultimate.
