Gals & Goblins - SEPTEMBER WUGDATE

More from Gals & Goblins Gals & Goblins - Ep. 88: Warrior of Prophecy

About This Title

I know what you're all thinking. . . "oh, she forgot about us", "I guess we're not getting a September wugdate ", " How could our favorite Gal betray us like this?". . . . . . .

Nothing could be further from the truth!! I was being a little sneaky and waiting so I could share all the behind the scenes photos from our NEW YORK CITY DEBUT We flew our small crew, a full mic & receiver system, and 200 ping pong balls across the country. For all of you who joined us in person and on the livestream, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts! Without your incredible support, we would not have been standing on that stage. It's crazy to think that in a little over 3 years, we went from recording hour long episodes in my tiny apartment kitchen to performing on a stage in front of everyone in New York City. I feel like we can go anywhere in the world with our silly lil D&D show now!

My favorite moment from the show was looking out the front doors during sound check and seeing Wugs lining up in their Frogmont shirts, waiting to be let in right at 7 PM. It never ceases to amaze me that y'all actually show up every time to the shows to play some D&D with us. And then I would have to say my second favorite moment was the most clutch Nat 20 I have ever rolled in my life!! IYKYK

Not only did we perform a show, we also saw so many incredible shows. We saw Stamptown, Stranger Things: The First Shadow, Heated Rivalry: The Unauthorized Parody Musical, Paranormal Activity (best show I've ever scene in my life btw), and SIX the Musical. We also visited the Museum of Natural History, Museum of Broadway, and the Jim Henson exhibit at the Museum of Moving Image. And yes, we did start crying when we saw Kermit the Frog in real life. We also ate so many glorious meals that I can't even begin to list. With only 5 days in the greatest city in the world, we really made the most of our time.

We celebrated TWO birthdays this month! Mine was on September 7th and I hosted a board game night. Then, we celebrated Lilly's on the 14th in NYC!! Next up is Campbell on October 14th. . . and she told me that all she wants for her birthday is for you to come see our live show in Austin, TX on October 17th. . . and yes, there will be livestream tickets available!!

If you're feeling left out about us not bringing a live show to your city, I'm so serious when I say drop your city and theater recommendations in the comments or email us at [email protected]. Ask your weird theater or improv friends about theaters in your town. Email every theater in your city that they should book us. Call your mayor and tell him the Gals sent you. Tell everyone about our podcast at your local coffee shop. Help us get to a city near you!!

P.S. you can see me researching our next potential live show location in the last photo if you zoom in

I'm sure you will hear more about our NYC adventures in a Gabbin', so never fear. For now, I will leave you with this. . . we are so thankful to have each and every single one of you in the G&G community. There is no show without all of you listening every week, chatting in the discord, snagging merch, and attending live shows. Please know that you have changed the four of our lives forever for the better. We love you, Wugs!! As Jared says, go forth. Be kind. I'll talk to you later

~ XOXO, your favorite Gal, Olivia (but seriously still don't tell them I said that)
