Mr. Baker - We're Pausing Patreon for Now, but Season 2 Development Continues at Full Force

About This Title
I hope everyone is having an amazing day!
Since the beginning of Season 2 is taking a little longer than I originally expected, I feel that the fairest thing to do is pause the Patreon for now.
Please don't worry, though. Development on Season 2 is continuing normally, and I will still be posting devlogs, previews, and the next update here as usual.
I've been thinking about this for a while. During the first season, I sometimes felt pressured to release things faster than I would have liked, and looking back, I think that occasionally resulted in parts of the game being more rushed than they needed to be. This time, I'd rather give Season 2 the time it needs and focus on making it properly.
For now I don't want anyone to feel like they're paying just to wait, so pausing Patreon feels like the fairest option for now.
Recent events:
Another reason I've been thinking about this is the constant messages I've received from people coming from piracy sites, complaining about the versions available there, delays, or Patreon itself.
I went through the same thing during the first season, and some people can become extremely aggressive the moment they see that a developer has a Patreon, almost treating you like you're doing something wrong just for having one. I've had people complain about updates they didn't even get through the official release, while at the same time criticizing me for using Patreon to support development.
I don't have anything against piracy itself. I know it's something that will always happen. What bothers me is when people use a pirated version and then come directly to the developer to complain, demand updates, or attack the way the project is funded.
That kind of pressure affected me during Season 1, and I don't want to repeat that with Season 2. I'd rather focus on the game and release things when they're actually ready.
Also, I want to apologize if the project hasn't always been as good as it could have been. I really did my best to create something unique, and I truly hope you enjoyed it.
But as I said, don't worry. I will still be here working on this amazing project. I also know almost every single one of you by now, especially the people who have been here since the beginning, we were very few before steam. but you will always have a huge part in this game and in everything we've built together. as I always say I can't thank you enough.
I really hope you've enjoyed what we've created together so far, and I hope you'll enjoy everything that is still to come.
Thank you very much, everyone.
