Stickyspoodge - Stuckplug BST, ESP dub, and Fern stuff!
infoAbout This Title
Haaaaaai
My time off has come to an end. It was real nice to have a bit of time for me, I was a lazy fellah during it and I enjoyed it fully. Now, back to le work.
An update:
Fernst things FerntStarting Monday looks like we're diving into All Those Years Later: the Fern film! Votes for Fern crushed it haha
We got the boards back from Yasumi (our storyboard artist) this morning and they're looking awesome, very cinematic! First bit of the week we'll be cutting an animatic for that and getting it out to VAs, but I should be able to begin on a couple of my shots for it as well as start hiring animators for it too.
It's kind of a fun and unique position to be in because, with the way I work, I am very, very used to having to hold onto the excitement for any of my film concepts for a loooong time. I'm always writing new scripts and each film takes months to do, so by the time the next film rolls around, I can kinda fuel that former excitement into the new project.
However, I am hooman and like most of us, we are MOST excited when a project is brand shiny new, so it's actually quite a rare experience that I get to finish a script and then immediately begin working on the film. So even though of course I was excited for an Ingrid film, my excitement to work on Fern is super fresh and I'm so pumped to begin working on it.
It's also a bit of a different script and a bit longer than what I usually take on, so I'm really eager to see what you guys think of it too. Aiming to have a little update for that for you next Friday, with a couple early shots and a shot list too so y'all can follow along with progress week-to-week.
Spanish DVa and the Stuckplug!Maybe some of ya noticed, but on Wednesday I updated DVa to now include a Spanish dub! iivii (our production manager) and I are still working on the subtitles on that and a few other films as well as moving all the film links away from G-Drive and Mega and over to CloudFlare (or maybe another platform) to give you a smoother streaming experience and no more dead links, limits, or sign-ins.
Stuckplug Behind The ScenesI wanted to share a bit of behind the scenes stuff with you guys. I always think it's really amazing to see how a film comes together, so I wanted to share some of the early stage shots from our animators, as well as the boards from Yasumi turned into moving storyboards with SFX and voices, which is called an animatic. Hope ya enjoy!
Back in full swing next week! Thank you guys very kindly again for your support even during a small break, I appreciate it a bunch and I'm really happy I was able to take it. Pumped to hop onto Fern!! (And from the sounds of it, you are too! weeeeeeeeeeeeeee)
All mah lovs
