About This Title
Thanks to everyone for the suggestions on what to grow this round! It has taken me much longer than I wanted to get this tent going, but I'm happy to say I finally started it. Things have been so busy lately, and it has felt really good to get back in the garden and have some chill time sowing seeds (so was Elbo). I'm excited to see what all of these strains look like, and I even started a bonsai project that I am clueless about (but very excited for).
For the question of my seeds being viable, I am happy to say ALL BUT 1 OPENED! Some seeds didn't germinate at first, leading me to pop a few more than I intended, but here is what I have going:Watermelon Emoji - Poppin Fire (x2)
Bill Cipher - Irie Genetics
SFV OG - Mr Q Seeds
Night Ritual - Wizard Trees
Jelly Donutz - Humboldt Seed Co
Special Bonsai Project: Divine Lime - Ziplock Seeds (2 seeds in a single 1g pot, grown over a South Park figure of Randy & Towlie) To avoid stalling any longer, the substrate I went with was just what I already had at home, which was a coco coir blend.
It is mostly Coco Loco from FoxFarm, which has 50-60% Coco coir, aged forest products (wood chips), perlite, earthworm castings, bat guano, oyster shell and dolomite lime, and it is also pre-inoculated with mycorrhizae.
I also added in 2 small bags of some random 'organic potting soil' that also had some coco coir & mycorrhizae - but also lots of wood bits, just so I would have some more wood to (hopefully) inoculate with some good bacteria to help break down all these organic inputs that are already in the coco mix.
To assist with that innoculation of the root zone, I watered this mix all the way until runoff (before planting seeds) with 1tsb per gallon of ReCharge mycorrhizae & microbe mix (which also has some molasses for a little extra microbial food)For other inputs or nutrients, I haven't really decided on that either yet. I was thinking I would top feed with the Athena blended line (just because I already have SO MUCH of it at home), but I am open to suggestions or ideas if you would like to see me try something else. I will make a video about the new garden, update the seedling growth, and show you all of the new gear I am running this week, so if you have any questions, comments, ect. that you would like me to address in that video, just let me know!
