All right folks, thank you for being here and lots to talk about let's get to it.
NEXT MOVIE!
First up, let's talk about our next movie. It is in production right now I will also be having a poll later this week for the Animation tiers. The point of the poll will be to ask what you would like to see more of or a focus on in the next animation. I will be using that to help guide what I will be animating and what I will focus on.
I also want to add we are starting up the movie previews for the next movie. I expect to have one in your hands by this weekend or early next week. Previews will continue at roughly one or two a week until we ship the movie. More if I can manage it!
On the subject of the next movie I want to add it will be a continuation of the current movie, the Formal. You will not have to have seen the Formal to enjoy this nor will you be missing out on anything if you only saw the Formal. I will be designing them to work together but I don't make them intrinsically linked to each other. This is not Infinity War followed by Endgame. Haha
NEW COMIC!
The new comic is starting up. It will be continuation of issue 76. Much like the movie mentioned above you will not have to have read 76 but it will serve as a nice intro. No more details than that at the moment but I am looking forward to it. I have a wacky idea and we'll have to see how it goes. Then again, almost all my ideas about the comics are wacky!
GENERATIVE ART RELATED STUFF
Right off the bat I want to be clear my 2D hand drawn art, animation and the comics are not going anywhere - if anything they will probably INCREASE!
I wanted to broach a subject with you guys because I like sharing my process with you. This does deal with with generative art and animation. I am mostly talking about theoreticals and possibilities at this point. I also have no current plans to switch over to a generative art pipeline. THAT SAID, I have been experimenting with creating animations and stills. Doing something in my art style based off my art style is interesting to me. At this stage I look at it as a tool and it's worth an exploration as far as I'm concerned. A few of you long time members may recall I was experimenting with 3D animation and Blender many years back. It was a lot of fun and it didn't go anywhere. This is something similar for me, I enjoy checking out possible avenues and if they would fit into any sort of pipeline I'm using.
I'll keep you posted about any developments and I'm also curious if any of you would be interested in seeing some of the experiments. Again, there is a massive caveat these are just experiments. They are not some grim foreshadowing of anything.
