Flippin Rad - Reward redefinition
infoAbout This Title
Hello everyone! October is almost here, and Patreon will be opening up again, I'm excited to see some halloween ideas for this spookiest of months :3
I have something kind of fun to announce, it may or may not make much of a difference for some of you but I just want to make sure everyone knows their options!
I am redefining the rewards for both Tuna and Jellyfish tier patrons! Instead of a strict 2 character limit (1.5 for Jellies) and defined scene format, I am just going to treat these as time slots going forward!
Jellyfish rewards will be known as a 30-40 minute time slot!
Tuna rewards will be known as a 2 hour time slot!
What this means for you is just a little more freedom in how you would like to structure your rewards. It's no secret that I am willing to be flexible with these already, using rewards for refs, stickers, series of sketches, etc. This is not changing, I just want it to be public knowledge.
So! You don't need to stick strictly to the format. Just be mindful of how much time a given request may take. If a scene is what you are after, two characters fit snugly into the timeframe, and so can likely be easily done in two hours.
More may go over time, and I will warn you of this before we start! Feel free to ask questions if you aren't sure how long it would take for me to do what you're after! You can also just give me a budget and I will pace myself accordingly. I'll attach some less conventional rewards here as examples:
For this piece, it was requested that I forgo a background or internal to put more time onto the single character focus. This allows for cleaner lines and more detail.
For this piece, Rovoska and Dosfin combined the two of their rewards to allow for more characters, and a little more care and detail in the piece as a whole.
Here Moofox gave me some perameters and asked me to paint a scene with more focus on background and aptmosphere than on the characters.
And in this piece she gave me a variety of ideas and requested a sketch page!
And this WIP and the completed image below are examples of what can be done when you are willing to bank 3+ rewards into a single piece! I can put a lot more time into characters and composition, a lot closer to what you might get if I were open for full commissions scenes again. (The below image is several years old at this point, and not fully representative of my current skill)
