Pages 20 and 21 are finally here, and I have been sitting on these two longer than I wanted to.
Diana is getting exactly what she wanted. Not a fight. Not a mission. A very relaxing time, the kind an Amazon only takes when she decides she has earned it. The look is gone. The smile is gone. What is left is the princess who finally lets every instinct she has been holding back take the wheel.
Ryan gave her all the good stuff she could ever desire. He kept up. That is the whole trick with her: she is not asking; she is taking, and he has what it takes to meet a warrior forged by the gods and by Themyscira. By Hera, look at her go. Literally goooo. The body that was built on that island, the training, the strength, all of it turned toward one thing: she is done waiting.
This is the stretch I have been heading toward since the first pages. The suit came off a long time ago. The teasing turned into a promise. She is taking the break she wanted, and she is taking it completely.
Still more to come; you will see how the story ends, and I am not rushing that part. Diana does not rush anything once she has decided she likes it.
