infoAbout This Title
Many generations ago, a purple worm egg was carried by ocean currents to the thriving ecosystem of the Aniso Mangal. Most purple worms go through a phase of intense hunger, stress, and physiological strain by the time they reach adolescence and typically face one of two outcomes: cannibalism by their kin or growth into the humungous pseudo-adult larva most people know, capable only of asexual reproduction. This wasn’t the case for the hatchling in the mangal. For the first time in thousands of years, an egg had hatched in an environment rife with resources. With plenty of food, water, and shelter, it developed slowly and comfortably, the perfect conditions for it to reach its true adult form. After several years and about as many shedding cycles, the creature pupated, spreading its silk all across the mangal and winding itself into a cocoon atop an ancient ziggurat.

Characters who complete this adventure should earn enough experience to progress two-thirds of the way to level 9 or all of the way to level 15, respectively. The adventurers must reach the temple held by the Cult of the Cocoon and stop an emerging viridishell arthrodrake from spreading its Prismorphic Retrovirus across the entire region
