In A Piece of Cake, an episode of the TV anthology series Twisted Gender Tales, Marcel is the cruel, arrogant and sexist head baker at Belle Pâtisserie, a high-end confection shop. He constantly yells at his assistant baker Nicolas, and one day Nicolas decides to get revenge by casting a spell that transforms Marcel into a little bride on a wedding cake!
Marcel is outraged, and things only look worse when Nicolas enters him into a baking competition. As Marcel is carried into the event he tries to protest, to say that he is NOT A CAKE, but his voice is a tiny peep lost in all the hubbub of the show. As the judges line up to view Marcel, oohing and aahing about his loveliness and delicacy, he can't help but feel a strange swell of pride. He finds he rather enjoys being a beautiful cake, put on display and admired by crowds of people. When they award Marcel the blue ribbon he's beaming, quite pleased to know that he's the finest little confection in the whole show. But then Marcel is startled when one of the judges dips a finger into his icing to have a taste. The judges approach Marcel with forks in their hands and everything suddenly goes dark.
When Marcel awakes he is relieved, thinking it was all a dream... but then he finds himself back on Nicolas' table at Belle Pâtisserie, now re-baked as a fancy mermaid cake and on his way to a rich little girl's birthday party!
Note: If it's not obvious, there was no show called Twisted Gender Tales and I made the whole thing up. Sorry... I wish it was a real show too! This is my second "episode summary" from this show and I'll probably do more. It's fun to imagine a whole TV show that was nothing but gender transformation stuff!
