Archvillain Chronicles: A DnD 5e Journey - [October] New Race & Subclass — Bloodlines Beneath the Mountain
About This Title
The blood of giants has not gone quiet.
The Three Brothers of Gor’dokk Hero Codex brings two new player options to your D&D 5E campaigns: the towering Jotun race, descended from primordial Giants and marked by elemental inheritance, and the Titanbreaker Fighter subclass, trained to climb, topple, and bring down foes far larger than themselves.
Available to all tiers of $20 and above!
RACE — JOTUNJotun are towering, broad-bodied people descended from primordial Giants, inheriting both a measure of their ancestors’ strength and an affinity for one of six elemental forces: acid, cold, fire, lightning, poison, or thunder.
Most bear only subtle signs of this inheritance: pale hair, unusual skin tones, strange eyes, or old elemental marks carried through family lines. Yet when their power is called forth, a Jotun can gather that latent force into a Primordial Missile, hurling elemental energy with the strength of Giant forebears casting boulders across the field.
Jotun culture is built around households, hearths, family records, and obligations passed down through generations. Some seek lost ancestral dwellings. Some fulfill old promises. Some leave home to escape the weight of comparison, carrying their lineage into wider lands where their companions may become a household of their own.
As a Jotun character, you gain traits such as Elemental Heritage, Powerful Build, Primordial Missile, and Titanic Exertion, along with ancestry, names, and cultural details shaped by giant blood, elemental memory, and the long shadow of ancient promises.
FIGHTER SUBCLASS — TITANBREAKERIn the lush, giant-infested Gor’dokk Hills, smallfolk learned a hard truth: a fair battle against giants ends beneath a giant’s foot.
So they learned to climb living mountains.
The Titanbreaker is a Fighter subclass built for those who fight impossible foes with ropes, grappling hooks, brutal timing, and fearless ascent. When hostile giants, dragons, and other towering monsters menace their settlements, Titanbreakers hurl themselves onto backs, scramble up legs, drag enemies down, and cut until the mighty fall.
This subclass is made for warriors who refuse to become prey.
A Titanbreaker gains features such as Takedown, Titan Ascent, Master Mountaineer, Taste of Mortality, Braced for Impact, and Stand Among Giants—turning grapples, shoves, climbing tools, and battlefield control into weapons against creatures that should have been too large to challenge.
Also included:Jotun Elemental HeritagesChoose from six ancestral heritages:
Caustic — Acid
Frost — Cold
Flame — Fire
Storm — Lightning
Venom — Poison
Thunder — Thunder
Each heritage shapes the Jotun’s appearance, resistance, and Primordial Missile damage type.
Jotun Names & CultureThe Hero Codex also includes Jotun personal names, family names, household traditions, earned names, ancestry records, and lore for Jotun adventurers seeking duty, freedom, family, or a place beyond the expectations of their bloodline.
