Translator-Sama - Chapter 363: Mission to the Land of Snow

infoAbout This Title

“You won’t regret this?” Tsunade narrowed her eyes at Goku, looking almost amused. The sheer amount of debt she owed would make even the wealthiest tycoon break into a cold sweat.

But to Goku, money was nothing more than numbers. Turning stone into gold or creating wealth out of thin air was effortless for him.

Over the next two days, he cleared every single one of Tsunade’s debts—large and small. By the time he was done, the amount she owed him was so astronomical that even selling herself wouldn’t begin to cover it.

Tsunade had originally thought such a massive sum would bankrupt him.

Instead, he paid it off without even blinking.

The trap she had intended for him ended up swallowing her and Shizune instead. At this rate, the two of them might be pouring tea for him for the rest of their lives.

After returning to Konoha, Tsunade formally assumed the position of Fifth Hokage. Peaceful days passed quietly.

One afternoon, Goku was strolling through town with Anko, Kurenai, and Hinata.

Anko, holding a skewer of dango, said excitedly,

“Goku, you’ve never taken us to see a movie before. How about we go watch one?”

“A movie?” Goku blinked. It had indeed been a long time. “Alright. Let’s see what’s playing today.”

“You don’t even know?” Kurenai pointed to a nearby poster. “The Great Adventure of Princess Gale. It’s been heavily promoted. Supposedly very popular.”

“Princess Gale…” Goku looked at the portrait of the leading actress and frowned slightly. “She looks familiar…”

Memories flashed in his mind.

“Could it be her…”

“Judging by your expression, do you know her?” Anko asked curiously.

“I know her. She doesn’t know me,” Goku replied with a faint smile.

Anko rolled her eyes.

Suddenly, the sound of galloping hooves echoed down the street.

A beautiful young girl on a white horse leapt over a wall—only to land directly where Goku was standing.

“Are you kidding me?” Goku muttered. “Why’s it the horse I’m looking at instead of the rider?”

“Move!” the girl shouted anxiously.

“Goku, watch out!” Hinata cried.

But Goku didn’t move.

He simply raised one hand and caught the horse midair, holding it aloft effortlessly.

“Ahhh!” The girl screamed and tumbled off the horse.

Goku caught her smoothly.

“That was dangerous,” he said calmly.

“S-Sorry…” she stammered, staring at him in disbelief as he held a full-grown horse with one hand.

The horse, once set down, calmly walked aside as if nothing had happened.

Before long, armed guards on horseback surrounded them.

“Release me!” the girl struggled frantically.

Goku tucked her under his arm and gave her a light smack on the butt.

“Behave.”

“You shameless pervert!” she cried, blushing furiously and biting his arm.

“Hey! Are you part dog?” Goku complained.

The guards shouted angrily, but an older man wearing dark glasses stepped forward.

“Please misunderstand us not. We are not enemies. We came to Konoha to request a mission.”

“A mission?” Goku asked.

“It has been submitted to the Hokage.”

“No one’s accepted it yet?”

“Not yet.”

“Perfect. I’ll take it.”

Kurenai frowned. “Are you sure?”

“I’ve been bored anyway,” Goku shrugged.

The girl glared at him.

“What’s your name?” the older man asked.

“Goku.”

“Please release Miss Yukie. She is the client.”

“Fine. Let’s go see the Hokage.”

---

Inside the Hokage’s office, Tsunade looked at Goku suspiciously.

“You’re really taking this mission?”

“Stop wasting time and approve it.”

He casually sat on her desk, sipping tea.

'Who exactly is the Hokage here?' Yukie wondered, watching in disbelief at his lack of respect.

“Very well,” Tsunade sighed. “But Anko and Kurenai are staying. Only Hinata will accompany you.”

“Works for me.”

---

Out on the vast ocean, a large ship sailed steadily toward the Land of Snow.

Goku lay comfortably with his head resting on Hinata’s soft lap as she gently massaged his shoulders.

Below deck, Director Doto, Sandayu, and the film crew were busy preparing scenes. Princess Yukie was already immersed in her role.

“She complained nonstop before,” Goku chuckled, “but once she starts acting, she completely transforms.”

“Miss Yukie truly is impressive,” Hinata said softly.

Nearby, one of the crew members frowned and whispered to the director,

“Are those two really capable of protecting us? They look like they’re on vacation rather than guarding anyone…”

The sea breeze carried tension—and perhaps, unseen danger—across the waves.
