EnterTheCronic - The 1989 Deep Dive Plan Is HERE And You Built It
About This Title
Cronicans, WOW. We asked what to fit into the 1989 era and you showed up with links, timestamps, spoiler warnings and some seriously good advice Thank you. You didn't just give us a list, you gave us a roadmap. Here's what you built:
THE PLAN
Shake It Off (MV + behind the scenes): DONE!
Tue Oct 13: Wildest Dreams. You voted, and Wildest Dreams won the poll! Jovana, thank you for the heads-up that it's basically a short film. We're ready
Fri Oct 16: Style, plus Taylor's cover of Vance Joy's Riptide in the Live Lounge as a bonus
Tue Oct 20: The 1989 Grammy Museum session. Brandie, you started it, and Cocogigi, Samantha, Sarah and Jovana made it official: MANDATORY Taylor takes us behind the scenes of how 1989 came together. It's the perfect setup before the album.
Fri Oct 23: 1989, the original album, start to finish. We want to hear it the way the world heard it in 2014 first.
Tue Oct 27: 1989 (Taylor's Version), vault tracks and all, on the double anniversary! 12 years of 1989 and 3 years of Taylor's Version
Fri Oct 30: The 1989 Interview Pack: Barbara Walters, the 2DayFM interview, and Taylor's Billboard Woman of the Year speech. sahej, thank you for that incredible list
Sat Oct 31: THE 1989 WORLD TOUR, the full show, on Halloween! Ashleigh and Emma, thank you for finding the full concert for us
Tue Nov 3: The Finale: New Romantics. TopTierTaylor and Jovana, you saved us from tour spoilers, so it's going LAST. We're pairing it with her 2014 AMAs Blank Space performance to close out the era in style
TWO THINGS YOU ADDED THAT WE LOVE
Gwen, your tip is happening: before each album, we're reading the prologue Taylor wrote. We weren't following her journey back then, and you're right that it matters to know where she was in her life when she made this. And Emma, we'll be thinking about it the whole way through: she was only 25
SAVING FOR LATER
Some of your suggestions are amazing but didn't fit this run. We're keeping this deep dive to the best of the best, so a few gems are going in the vault for future Taylor slots. Nothing you shared is getting lost
Thank you for caring about this era as much as we do. This is what enjoying the therapy of music together looks like, and you made this one.
Love you, Cronicans.
