Los Santos Alive - Los Santos Alive — Community Feedback Update #1

About This Title
We've been listening closely to your feedback since launch, and this update focuses on addressing some of the issues you've reported, improving existing systems, and making everyday interactions feel more natural.
From better Policing Redefined integration to simultaneous NPC conversations, subtitles, and full controller support, there's quite a bit to cover!
No More License Keys!First and foremost, we've completely removed the license key system from Los Santos Alive.
We've heard your feedback loud and clear. Managing license keys, dealing with activation issues, and having to troubleshoot access to something you're already supporting us for simply wasn't a good experience.
Going forward, you'll only need to link your Patreon account once during installation. That's it.
No copying license keys, no manually activating anything, and no unnecessary extra steps. Just connect your Patreon account and you're good to go.
We appreciate everyone who brought these issues to our attention. Your support should make things easier, not more complicated.
Policing Redefined ImprovementsWe've made several improvements to how Los Santos Alive works alongside Policing Redefined.
Smarter resistance handling: NPCs you interact with will no longer randomly flee or fight because of conflicting resistance systems. Their behaviour is now determined by LSA, preventing situations where an NPC agrees to cooperate but suddenly does the opposite.
More backup options: Added support for Officer Down, Group Backup, Felony Stop, NOOSE air support, female patrol units, State Police units, and State K9 units.
Improved traffic stops: Backup requests now properly recognise active traffic stops.
Uncuffing support: NPCs can now uncuff suspects through Policing Redefined.
Better officer recognition: Police and SWAT NPCs are now correctly recognised, including those using standard GTA V police models.
These changes should make policing interactions feel much more consistent, particularly when using LSA alongside other LSPDFR plugins.
More Natural NPC ConversationsWe've improved how NPCs speak and interact with each other.
Simultaneous conversations: You can now have multiple conversations happening around you without constantly interrupting each other. For example, your partner can continue questioning a driver while you speak to their passenger.
Up to three simultaneous voices, each with independent 3D positional audio and lip-sync.
Smarter interruptions: NPCs only interrupt an ongoing conversation when you're directly addressing someone involved in it.
More natural dialogue: We've adjusted how NPCs construct their responses, encouraging more casual, everyday speech rather than overly formal language.
Conversation reliability: Fixed an issue where certain NPC dialogue could occasionally be skipped or lost.
This is another step towards making NPC interactions feel less scripted and the world around you feel more alive.
New Subtitle SystemOne of the most requested quality-of-life features is here!
Every NPC conversation now features subtitles, displaying both the dialogue and who's speaking.
Subtitles intelligently identify speakers, including their names, police ranks, agencies, and civilian identities.
Support for all 200 NPC archetypes.
Subtitles are enabled by default and can be toggled through the F7 menu.
Full Controller SupportWe've expanded controller compatibility across Los Santos Alive.
All major actions can now be assigned to controller buttons.
Support for individual buttons and button combinations.
Configure your bindings directly through the F7 menu or installer.
Easily rebind, clear, or cancel controller assignments.
This should make LSA considerably more accessible for players who prefer playing GTA V with a controller.
Gemini ImprovementsWe've also made some changes specifically for players using Gemini.
Improved dialogue instructions for more natural responses.
Fixed instances where NPCs would accidentally speak internal AI instructions or action tags aloud.
Improved subtitle and overheard conversation handling to prevent unwanted formatting or technical text appearing in dialogue.
Bug Fixes & StabilityAlongside the larger improvements, we've addressed several issues reported by the community.
Fixed aiming freezes affecting some players using the Legacy version.
Improved reliability when communicating with Policing Redefined.
Fixed installer issues caused by excessively long Windows file paths.
Additional improvements to dialogue playback, subtitle timing, and conversation handling.
Thank You for Your FeedbackA lot of the changes in this update have come directly from your reports, suggestions, and experiences playing Los Santos Alive.
We're continuing to work through feedback, improve compatibility, and refine existing features alongside development of what's coming next.
Our goal remains the same: making Los Santos feel like a living, breathing world where the people around you can actually think, react, and interact naturally.
Thank you for your continued support, and enjoy the update!
