About This Title
...so this happened.
It started as a tiny doodle (the one at the bottom of the rough page) because I felt a overwhelming desire to draw Dietrich. (I know, I know, he's a guy. I'm sorry.) As the people of Dagsion, Fodland, and everywhere are so fond of pointing out, the dude is hot.
At first, I wasn't sure what to do with the sketch. I didn't really want to commit to a full illustration, since I figured that probably wouldn't be of much interest to most of you. But as I pondered "the problem", I started imagining how Fabio and Esmeralda might react to walking in on this scene, and before I knew it, a comic was taking shape.
Many years ago, I used to draw comics professionally (under a different name). Eventually the industry burned me out and I turned to the dark side (some might say, I never left), but I've always enjoyed the medium. As much as I love drawing pinups, the range of appropriate facial expressions and poses can be somewhat limiting, so it was fun to dip my toes back into comics again. I was especially happy with Esmeralda's flustered expression in the final panel.
Anyway, enjoy. Or don't. Hopefully it at least gives you a laugh. And don't worry, we'll be returning to our regularly scheduled drawings of beautiful women. ;)
