Welcome to Doomscroll. My guest is a dangerous political extremist who poses a legitimate threat to the United States government. On this episode, I answer your Q&A, respond to listener submitted questions and lay out some of the media strategy for this program.
This is a wide ranging episode that touches on everything from fitness to political theory. We tackle the new algo-dynamics of post-woke platforms, AI, online culture and I give some background on the NYC art world.
Back on the old Twitch streams (~2021), I used to give an annual “state of the show” address. (extremely Trump voice: The state of the show is strong. Its very strong. There’s never been a show this strong. Many people are saying it folks.) This is a chance for us to check in and discuss the current challenges and opportunities of this moment.
Unlike many other programs, our goal has never been to comment on or keep up with the weekly news cycle. Chasing outrage-of-the-week stories is part of the current crisis. Instead, Doomscroll aims further upstream at a larger project of political education. If you’re a loyal listener of the show, you know just how heavy of a lift this is. But you also how committed we are to following through it:
Q&A: Fitness, Woke 1, Pipelines & Art | Doomscroll
While I expected half of all these questions to be ‘lol how many beers for this episode’, it turns out that our audience is really quite thoughtful and sent in a ton of great topics. On the private episode, we explore platforms vs states, reform vs revolution, art vs attention, falling birth rates and whats new about socialism in the 21st century. If you want to join in for future Q&As, you can become a paid subscriber and get access to our full archives of bonus episodes:
