I can't help but notice there are a lot of you guys (nearly 1700(!) by my last count) following this page as "free members." First off, thank you for showing interest! It means a lot that so many of you are at least curious enough to keep an eye on things. That said, I'd be remiss to not try and entice you to join a paid tier with what is essentially the lowest possible price you'll ever get on my page before the window closes entirely! If you're curious read on!
Before the end of the month my page is going through a mandatory platform-wide switch from per-upload to per-month charging (if you're a paid patron and this is your first time hearing this you can learn more here). Without getting too into the weeds, the amount my patrons pay per month isn't changing, nor is my upload schedule, BUT the legacy per-post payment system is going away, save for one aspect: monthly payment caps. Here's where that low price comes in.
If you've never pledged to a per-upload account before, you can set monthly payment caps to limit how much a given page can charge you. This was useful when becoming a per-upload patron, but is not relevant when being charged a fixed amount per month, as in the new system. That all said, if you pledge right now, you can still set your monthly cap, and when my page changes over to the new system, the company has said those caps will be honored after the switch. So when my $2/page tier changes over to the $4/month tier, if you pledged at $2 and set your cap at $2, you'll never be charged any more than that regardless of the tier's pricing. But once the change to the new system happens, the window to do this will be closed forever.
So as I said, this is quite literally the only time you'll be able to lock in a price like that, and if I can be totally honest I am entirely unsure when exactly my page will be making the switch. I know it'll be after October 19th, but it could be anytime between then and Nov. 1st.
If you've ever been on the fence and think a couple bucks a month sounds doable, please consider joining! Thus far my patrons seem to have been really enjoying each new page, and I can personally add that a particularly fun part of the Chapter 6 is just about to begin.
