About This Title
It was on this page that I realized that gigantic, multi-limbed horror-mechs wouldn't be practical for everyday society. Even in an alien culture, I decided that they would have to have smaller, more utilitarian bodies that they could pilot when not waging open war. I figure the giant bodies would just be one of many tools in their arsenal.
So I had to quickly cook up what their "normal" bodies would look like. I figured they would be more humanoid than the giants were, but I still wanted them to look a little weird. So...snakes. I kept the masks as well to maintain some consistency. But I figure they would be more expressive in this form. Kal mentioned that they look like Shy Guys from Mario and I'll take it. I love those little dudes lol.
For the uniforms I tried to work in familiar military elements like sashes, berets, and medals. But they're aliens so I threw in some warrior monk robes as well in attempt to come up with something unique. As someone who draws a lot of naked people I don't do much real costume design beyond a Google search for "sexy dress" for reference a lot of the time. So this is a fun test for me.
And that's all for now! It's rare that I dedicate what will likely be several pages to a character telling a complete story like this. So I'll do my best to keep it interesting!
