infoAbout This Title
(We've hit two donation goals! One of them being a Q&A with Percy and Emmett! More will be posted soon!)
You point to the dice and ask what they do.
The rabbit taps his feet and pushes them over with his cane.
"Feeling lucky? It's just a couple of dice I had lying around."
You pick them up and they feel warm to the touch. They rattle and clink against each other with a clean vibration. Clean? You don't know how else to describe the soft sounds the two cubes make when colliding against each other. You shake them in preparation to roll but the rabbit suddenly taps his cane on your hand before you can let go.
"You use 'em, you buy 'em." The rabbit snaps at you, "If you want to look, by all means, but don't go damaging my merchandise without showing some moolah."
You gingerly examine the hand-carved pips and study the gold. The dice do indeed feel heavy, as if it consist mostly of the precious metal. You assume that toys have no real need to be exchanged for what you have deemed to be valuable material. You pass them over to Emmett who pushes up his glasses to give them a closer look.
"T-they look like dice all right..." he says after a quick examination. He hands them back to you and you very carefully put them down while resisting the urge to throw them.
"So, what will it be? Want them? Want anything?" The rabbit blows dandelion petals up in the air and they drift down like snow. He has pulled out another stem and is now chewing on the stalk.
You open your mouth to ask about the hat but the rabbit pulls it back with his cane and with a flick, tosses the hat onto his head. "You probably can't afford this, though after studying you two, I don't think this would be a good fit for you anyway."
His words annoy you but he's right. If anything, it would be one or the other: the pair of dice or the spool of thread. Though they look just like regular dice, you do feel they could come in handy in some way; you're just not sure how.
The rabbit pulls back his long sleeve to look at a bright red watch and quickly chomps down the rest of the stem. "Al-righty, time's up, I've got to get going. How much do you got?"
You pull out the two 6/6 domino pieces. He looks down with one eye and taps his chin. "I'll cut you a deal: for all you've got, I'll give you half of the thread and one of the dice. What do you say?"
You ask how much the dice are by themselves. "Same price as the spool," he says.
> Buy the entire spool of thread.> Buy the pair of dice.> Take the rabbit's offer (Half the spool of thread, a single die)> Leave the store.
