shinyheartbeats - HOTEL LEX - FLOOR 5 (22/?)
infoAbout This Title
You nervously rub your hands together and ask if Bean can take you to the Clocktower before he continues his shopping.
Bean looks up at you from rummaging through his bag. "So soon? I don't even think they're open yet."
You push a little bit harder, seeing if the sooner you can fix it, the sooner you'll have direction. Bean ponders for a moment and agrees. You follow Bean through an alley between two stores and makes a right. You duck underneath a stone bridge and wander by a small cafe with the beautiful scent of coffee beans and the sound of jazz music. Bean makes a left and goes down a flight of circular stone stairs. Eventually, an exit appears on the left and all three of you exit onto a large record player. The vinyl record acts as a rotating platform between shelves as it spins slowly. Bean steps onto it and you and Emmett follow closely behind.
"Fourth floor has all music needs. They have fashion on this floor, too."
Bean struts past record stores, large jukeboxes, rock-themed cafes, and many more. His ears twitch in every direction as he fidgets with his toys. You hold Emmett close as busy crowds of toys head in all directions, bumping into you. The sound of chatter and music would sound pleasant to your ears if you weren't so suddenly pressed for time. Bean suddenly stops and turns his head to look at a store featuring nature-like growth on its front. The sounds of birds chirping and wind chimes catch his attention and his eyes are wide.
"W-wait here..." he manages to say as he rushes inside.
You shift anxiously around, wondering if you're losing precious time. The sweet scent of pine and a gentle breeze hit your face as you peer inside. The space looks like it was carved out of giant redwood trees and you can spot an almost endless sky above. You turn to Emmett who is still completely unaware that you saw Lex on the fifth floor. You wonder aloud if you two might be able to just figure out a way down to the third floor. Surely if you got lost, you could ask for help.
"S-shouldn't we tell Bean?" Emmett says as he also gazes into the interior of the store.
You bring up that maybe he will know where you two are as you had asked him to take you there. Emmett notices your unusual behavior and raises an eyebrow. "What's up, P-Percy?" he gives you a gentle tap on your shoulder while looking into your eyes.
You tell him what you saw in front of the television store, the swirling colors with Lex's face plastered all over. You tell Emmett what Lex had said and worry that staying too long will make it difficult to leave. You emphasize feeling too comfortable and that perhaps it is more than just being a plushie. Emmett ponders your words for a moment. "W-we should still tell Bean, I-I don't like j-just leaving people wondering." You feel a slight emotional weight to his words and you feel at odds.
> Wait for Bean outside.> Head in to give Bean a heads-up. > Try to make it to the third floor.
