It’s been a week, hasn’t it? We’re barreling toward the mid term elections in the US, hate feels around every corner and I’m like Marge Simpson’s motivational kitten poster.
I’m not sure how, but we’re holding on. Some days I’m bursting into tears, but most days, we’re moving in the only direction we have left.
And I wanted to thank you again. This next month, I’ve been able to supplement the household budget and prevent us from digging into our retirement savings for one more month, thanks to you.
I don’t feel worthy, but thanks to some sizable donations earlier this year, I had a buffer. I’ve been sitting on it as my wife’s severance dropped down, and this month was the month we used it. She had 3 months severance. We made it last almost five. Shepherd is launched, Kate is working to get customers, but the whole thing is slow. I know we’ll have to cash out something to survive, but you prevented that from happening for another month. And I wholeheartedly believe in her company and her goals. With Facebook and instagram coming soon, I suspect our market will grow. But, having successfully ran three businesses I know this is the way. It sucks, but it’s part of the journey. You’re making it suck less. Being able to pay our bills and keep TE running? It’s humbling.
I know it’s unfashionable to be so candid and vulnerable, but it’s import for me to say thanks. You are keeping a roof over my head. I can’t do it every month, but I’m eager to know if any of you have ideas as to how we can grow and increase our support so we can keep on keeping on.
