About This Title
Hey everyone!
Career Overhaul has been updated for BeamNG 0.40 and now runs as its own game mode, with separate saves and its own copy of West Coast. We've also worked through deliveries, vehicle persistence, controller support and the pauses that were getting in the way of playing.
Here's what's changed since v2.7.2.
Overhaul’s Own Game Mode
Start or resume Overhaul from its new card on the main menu or Career screen.
Stock Career and the stock West Coast map stay untouched.
Bring older saves across with Create migrated copy. It keeps your original save and shows what changed.
Cars, parts and seats updated for 0.40, along with new configuration thumbnails.
Disabling the mod during a session cleanly restores the stock game.
Deliveries and Vehicle Persistence
Fixed completion of every material delivery type, with delivery progress preserved through reloads.
Parcel jobs now route to the correct freight dock, and trailer offers show the trailer you'll actually tow.
Vehicle damage restores correctly without getting worse each time you reload.
Cars carried on haulers stay on the deck during map travel, and tilt decks keep their angle.
Vehicles parked out in the world stay where you left them when you return.
Damage no longer gets repaired without a paid repair.
Performance and Saves
Faster career startup, with saves appearing on the profile screen right away.
The phone opens instantly, with faster loading for apps, garages, dealerships and the Job Broker.
Roughly half as much background processing each frame while driving.
Saving no longer freezes the game, and a queued autosave won't hold up a purchase.
Incomplete saves are rejected without being wiped.
Quitting without saving keeps your money and vehicle ownership consistent.
Controller Support
A new Controls app on the phone, plus a dedicated Overhaul group under Options > Controls.
Controllers without a phone binding prompt you to choose one.
Start opens the pause menu even while the phone is open.
Menus open with an item already selected for controller navigation.
The card game prompt now works with a controller.
Selling, moving out and discarding prompts default to Cancel.
Racing and Jobs
Every drag strip now has a paying event.
Freeroam drag strip staging and race starts work reliably again.
AI racers use their race tuning and recover when they get stuck.
Derby barriers have working collision again.
Taxi, bus and ambulance passengers sit properly in their seats, including passengers in every bus seat.
Work shifts start at your employer's depot and finish back at your yard.
Police spawn correctly again when you're playing as an officer.
Phone, Auctions and Map Fixes
A new App Store with instant search and app installation taking about a third of a second.
Multiple level gains appear together on one level-up card.
Used car auctions now have a full screen interface with controller support, and the game pauses while you bid.
Each map's original sky, fog and clouds return after weather effects.
Fixed textures going missing after visiting another map.
