About This Title
This is a revision of the 2023 Leovelos (Panther Dragon) model.
This monster is not canon. The "Panther Dragon" was an unused monster design from the very first Monster Hunter title. It was famously featured in Monster Hunter Illustrations (2008) art book alongside dozens of other unused Monster designs, including the Equal Dragon Weapon. The Panther Dragon is probably my all time favorite Monster Hunter design and I've been obsessed with it ever since I first flipped through the pages of the book in 2011.Several years back I made a Fanon page for the monster and named it "Leovelos", based on other contemporary Monster names; like Rathalos (Rioreusu), Teostra, Velociprey; combining the words "Leopard" and "Velocity".Please read the included READ ME document for information on the different models and the upgrade process. The older models are still included in the files. There's some part overlap when upgrading from the older model to the newer model. Please consider upgrading! The new model is much better! The original model had a joke in the XML file where it asked for a piece that did not exist (the horn piece in turquoise). That piece still does not exist, but I have changed the XML to have the piece in black instead. You will have to manually paint it turquoise/azure to be accurate to the concept art.
The tail is fragile and the wings are heavy, but they should hold their position over time on a shelf.
Please check the pinned post for guides on acquiring the pieces needed for these builds via Bricklink! If you experience any errors, the troubleshooting guide is also linked there!
Leovelos (Panther Dragon / Leopard Dragon)Thanks for all the continued support!
I have more models on the way, including Duramboros, Radobaan, Gundoraja, Tetranadon, and revisions for models like Rathalos, Rathian, Tigrex, Kecha-Wacha, Bishaten, Tobi Kadachi, and more!
