SWAJ Studio - v0.8.3.1 is here! Vult, Halloween, and a whole lot more
About This Title
Hey everyone!
v0.8.3.1 is ready, just in time for Halloween! This update ended up growing quite a bit. What started with House Vult now includes new management systems, more campus interactions, a new friend, and plenty of opportunities to make questionable decisions. So… a normal semester at NSFW Academy
Here’s a look at what’s waiting for you:
Welcome to House Vult“Everyone’s for sale.” Vult is officially open for recruitment, bringing investments, influential contacts, negotiations, and Boardroom progression. If you like the idea of making money while getting involved with people you probably shouldn’t trust, you should feel right at home.
Masquerade of SecretsThe Pit is getting ready for Halloween! Prepare your costume, put on your mask, and enjoy an evening of social encounters and secrets. Your outfit offers more than a different look: it also affects how well you can hide your identity. What you do with that anonymity is up to you ;)
The Last Stop Motel & the MenagerieYou can now purchase the motel and start building your own business, with staff assignments, shift planning, supplies, upgrades, and financial reports. Manage it personally or set things up to run while you take care of your own life. Of course, things happening at the motel can follow you back to campus…
Yes, you still have to studyRecurring Assessment Weeks now put your academic progress to the test. Prepare properly, find useful notes, ask for help, or take your chances with less honest methods. The new Weekly Goals app also gives you smaller targets to work toward between all the chaos.
Meet ElizabethA cheerful, caring, and sometimes intense new friend is joining campus life. Get to know her through DMs, hangouts, and shared moments. I wanted to give the main character a friendship with room to grow, and I’m looking forward to seeing what you think of her.
More attention to the main character’s wellbeingThis version adds Self-esteem, more campus reactions to your reputation, and playable asylum stays with treatment and recovery activities. There’s also a setting to disable Sanity management and asylum content if you prefer playing without that system.
There’s more too: the first commissioned starting scenario, Reciprocal Flesh, three Very Hard identity resolutions, new scenes and artwork, more flexible scene controls, optional desktop Lovense support, new Perk Cards, laptop wallpapers, and a long list of balancing changes, fixes, and QOL improvements. There’s even a Skip day button for those days when your main character has had enough. Understandable, honestly.
The rollout follows the usual schedule:
Muse: First access to v0.8.3.1.
Friends with Benefits: 48 hours after Muse.
Friends: 48 hours after Friends with Benefits.
Public: v0.8.2 releases when Friends receive v0.8.3.1.
Thank you all for your support, patience, bug reports, and suggestions. Being a solo dev means there’s always something else demanding attention, but seeing you enjoy what I’m building makes it worth it.
Have fun, let me know how your semester goes, and try to keep some of your secrets safe this Halloween!
