About This Title
Another round of fashion designs for the show!The Tengu was a last minute addition as we thought the number of female and male models was a bit unbalanced. So we decided to add another female design to make it 4 and 4. This one came quite easily to me.
But oooof...
Asano's on the other hand was a different story XD I wanted it to be ambiguous, mysterious and play with the fact that Asano might really pull out his moonwalk und walk backwards XD So accordingly I went into this design wanting to cover as much as possible so that the audience can be easily fooled. The pants weren't really a problem. I am very happy with the idea that his belt tassels represent the kitsune tails.
The real problem was the upper half!The initial idea was - if he walks backwards - that his face has to be covered, so that the audience can't distinguish front and back. A fox mask would be placed on the back of his head to act as a "fake front". After arriving at the end of the runway for his pose, he would then take the mask off, attach it to his shoulder and reveal his true face. Dunno if he still would have walked backwards, or just walked the second half normally. That was the theory. XD
So I came up with this ninja-esque approach or that laaarge hood. We have yet to decide which version it will be in the end. As much as I like the bulkiness of the large hood, and the fact that it also gives off some grim reaper energy, it could be too distracting in the bottom half? (maybe I could make it the same length as the ninja type?)

But in the end we don't have to commit to this moonwalk idea. Just because he suggested it, doesn’t mean he’ll actually do it. Asano is very ambitious and has a lot of wild ideas. xD
But I'm glad that I finally managed to give him a look XDDD I can imagine his envious stare behind my back while I was designing everyone else's looks - especially the Tengu one - and him being like "Hello?? What about me???ლ(ಠ益ಠლ)"
Now I can finally start planning the first pages at ease 8D
