About This Title

Hey guys, I’m going to divide this post into topics so it doesn’t become too heavy. In the first part I’ll leave a brief description of the art and an apology for my lack of posts. After that I want to talk a bit about professional and emotional issues that are affecting the quality and frequency of my work.

Part 1 – Apology for the low posting frequency

I’m finally comfortable posting this piece. I’ve been feeling really bad about the quality of what I’ve been producing, and all that stress ended up creating a discouragement that needs time to heal. I need to rest my mind and take my eyes off screens from time to time. I’ve noticed that doing things more slowly helps me maintain consistency. I hope to bring higher quality art to you in the next pieces.

Part 2 – My feelings and professional burnout

For a long time I haven’t been bothered by the fact that what I do doesn’t “sound” like a traditional job. I treat it exactly as a job: I have schedules to keep and mental goals to hit. But this year has been relatively hard…

I ended a 9-year relationship, turned 30, and even though it sounds cliché, it affected me deeply. I’ve been experiencing feelings of depression (something that had never happened to me before and that has been draining me every day). Little by little I’ve been losing the pleasure in almost everything I do — including my hobbies like cinema and crafts.

I don’t want this to sound like victimhood. I don’t like feeling like a victim. But you must have noticed how many times these exhaustions have happened to me this year. I don’t want to stop loving what has become my work and my vocation, but there’s so much that is directly harming it:

AI constantly making pieces that make mine look bad

Incredible new artists that make comparison almost impossible to escape

The lack of studies, which only gets worse because I no longer have physical energy after a year full of lows

I’m saying this just as a description of everything that’s happening outside of here. The truth is that drawing — even pornography — needs to come from the emotional side. I draw men (mainly pin-ups) because it’s something I genuinely love. I love men: strong ones, chubby ones, older ones, young adults… I love male anatomy. But with my emotions shaken, it feels so hard to do it.

I’m starting to seek professional help. I hope I won’t need medication in the future. None of this means a hiatus. I just ask that you keep the same incredible and caring patience you’ve always had with me.

I especially want to apologize for the messages I don’t reply to… I simply don’t have the energy for it right now. But I’m genuinely happy about every comment I read from you (and I do read all of them). I’m sorry for that, but please know that I still do all of this with a lot of love. I promise to reply to the DMs soon — I’m just waiting for a slightly better day.

Anyway… I didn’t have any script while writing this (and the translation was done by an AI… ironic, right?). This will pass. I believe that.

Thank you for continuing to support me.
