Fiery Passions v0.5.5 is Out Now!
Hey everyone, update v0.5.5 is here! This one focuses on performance and quality-of-life improvements, plus more story and spicy content for Ava, Roxy, Mia, and Lily. I really hope you enjoy it!
What’s new in v0.5.5:
Smaller Game Size: The game is now 2–2.5 times smaller! With so many scenes in the game, the files were getting pretty heavy, so I converted them to a more efficient format. This should also help a lot if you’re playing on a weaker device. (Please check the update instructions below!)
New Feature: Skip: One of the most requested features is finally here! You can now skip scenes. Everyone has different tastes, so if a certain scene or fetish just isn’t your thing, you can simply skip it and keep enjoying the story. (Skipped scenes will still be unlocked in the Gallery.)
Story Continuation: The storylines for Ava, Roxy, Mia, and Lily continue. There’s a lot more to discover!
Spicy Content: Added 4 brand-new hot scenes with 7 animations running at a buttery-smooth 60 fps.
Sprite Update: Added a new sprite for Lily.
New Items: Added 2 new items: Teddy Bear and Bouquet of Roses.
Heart Catcher Everywhere: The Heart Catcher minigame is now available in every animated scene where the main character leads the action, including all the previous scenes.
New Feature: Notes: When you meet a character, a short profile about her is added to your Notes: occupation, hobbies, personality, height, weight, age, and bust size. You can find the Notes button in the Quest Journal.
New Soundtracks: Added 3 new music tracks for different moods: Romance, Tension, and Sadness. They’re already used in earlier scenes too (Scarlett and Mia).
Main Menu Tweaks: Play is now the first button and Load is the second. Clicking Play now asks “Start a new game?”, so you won’t accidentally restart the game from the beginning.
New Intro Screen: Updated the HGD logo on the startup screen and added a disclaimer.
Bug Fixes: Squashed various minor bugs for a smoother gameplay experience.
How to update (important because of the new file format):
Mac: Just replace the old files with the new ones.
Android: Download the new version and tap Update.
Windows / Linux: Try copying the new files over the old ones (replace all). If the game folder ends up bigger than before, delete the old version completely and install the new one fresh.
Don’t worry about your progress: Ren’Py also keeps your saves outside the game folder, so deleting the old version won’t remove them:
Windows: %APPDATA%\RenPy\
Linux: ~/.renpy/
Just in case, you can also back up the game/saves folder before updating.
